Great view/location but needs a lot of TLC
This house has a great view and a convenient location and the management company was extremely responsive and even sent someone out on Thanksgiving day to address our concerns. However, the house needs a lot of work, a deep clean, and a rodent service.

First the driveway is extremely steep which was not mentioned in the property summary. We didn’t have water for the first 18 hours of our stay. Management was made aware of the concern and there was no follow up by them to see if it came back on or any type of compensation. Only using the water from the jacuzzi to flush toilets while we waited was recommended. After the first night still with no water we figured we would go in the hot tub as a shower alternative and it was cold and had to wait all day for it to heat up. When we finally could go in we noticed how it was in disrepair. Half of the jets didn’t work, writing on the controls was worn and illegible. Also hot tube faces the street and has no privacy. Fireplaces also had faulty wiring making you have to wiggle the wires to the remote boxes to get them to lite. We are not people who complain about things and any one of these issues by themselves wouldn’t be a big deal but to have all of them at once was unacceptable. Bottom line- we would not recommend nor stay at this property again.

Great little hideaway
Outstanding communication with property managing company. Property was secluded with great views and very little traffic around. The road leading up the mountain got a little narrow at some points. Overall the cabin was well maintained and cleaned as well as having a fully stocked kitchen with all items needed for an extended stay. Would definetely stay again.

Fall break
We enjoyed out fall break stay in the cabin. We did need to contact the manager for a service and was handled promptly. We used the main level indoor fireplace and was so nice to gather around. The back porch is very nice and long with comfortable glider chairs and bench. Some of the family also enjoyed the screened in areas of the porches. The ice maker dispenser on the outside of freezer door needed cleaning, so we just got ice from inside the door. The manager said they would def get that cleaned up, which I believe will happen based off the quick solution to our service call the first day. Was beautiful weather, so we were out exploring in town during the days and was so nice to come back to the cabin each evening, watch the sunset and gather around the fire in the den. Thank you for helping us have a great family getaway.

While we enjoyed all the amenities and the cabin, it wasn’t as clean as it should have been. I bought my own stuff and cleaned the areas that needed it and went on to enjoy our stay. Cleanliness is a must! Still rate the lodge a 4 out of 5

Everyone had a great time except we woken up to a surprise visitor it were a baby squirrel and we had the hardest time getting that little thing out of the property and the next night we had another one so there’s definitely more in the side But we let the property manager know and I’m pretty sure that it’s gone now

Great Cabin!!!
This was a very nice cabin. Area was great, very comfortable and very roomy! I would have given this an Excellent rating except there were a couple of small issues. One, the cleanliness of the cabin was not 100% as the bathrooms could have used a little better cleaning. Also, the Hot Tub seems to be old and may need some repairs as the jets were a bit inconsistent. Other than that, the place was really awesome and I would definitely stay there again!!!

Great! Except for the steep driveway.
We loved the place. It did take us a few attempts to get up the driveway the first time. Had to sweep leaves off so car could make it up the drive. Once we figured that out it was wonderful. Place was beautiful and cozy. We loved it.

This was a very nice property. Everything was perfect. The check in process was a little off, but the property manager was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again. There’s plenty of room and it was very clean. Would recommend the owners clearing some of the smaller trees before they get too big. The trees are blocking an what would be amazing Mountain View.

Mountain getaway
We stayed at this property for one week. Everything about this cabin and the property and the location is excellent. The only negatives are that if you do not have a durable vehicle, the trip up to the cabin might be a rough one. Very narrow and steep incline roads. The location to everything was excellent, we went into Tennessee for three days to see Civil War battlefield sites and were back in no time. I highly recommend this property.

Do NOT waste your money!
Dead bolt didn’t work in dining area, gas fireplace on outside deck didn’t work, speakers on hot tub broken, only one set of jets worked, pantry door wouldn’t stay on track and hard to open, refrigerator was disgusting, spilled food and hairs, windows filthy, dead bugs and big clumps of dried mud on living room floor, master bath tub had hair in it and was dirty, cobwebs all up the side of the master bath wall, can’t play pool the table is in a tiny room and you have to hold the sticks straight up and down, had to replace several burnt out light bulbs, dining table is sticky and won’t come clean, kitchen countertops were dirty, zero view trees are all grown over and you can’t see anything, no Mountain View at all, outside trash was not emptied, pair of dirty panties found beside the pull out bed, we tried to reserve another cabin just to get out of this one but nothing available last minute. Spent the entire vacation out doing other things just to get out of the cabin

Great views but not clean
The rental agency always responded within 24 hours. We were told had to pick up keys at agency from drop box. However we didn’t realize it was 20 minutes from the cabin that we already passed. The directions from agency to get to cabin a must GPS got lost. We arrived at cabin late. It was a rough ride up to cabin in the mountain as road is narrow and lots of steep blind turns. Cabin has a great layout. The couch needs replaced in living room. The beds are hard. It needed a good clean. We had flying squirrels in attic and upstairs bedroom. Agency told me to turn up TV to not hear squirrels and a good spring clean was needed. I felt that was unacceptable and would never rent from them again. It was disappointing they didn’t care and with COVID cleaning wasn’t a concern. And a cabin with squirrels or any issue should not be rented. Lucidly we didn’t stay an entire week.

We had a great weekend celebrating my and my husbands 50th birthday and Valentines with our kids, grandbaby and Mom. The layout of the cabin worked very well for my family. Everyone loved they had their space. The cabin had everything that we needed. It was nice and clean.

We enjoyed our time at Crockett Mountain Lodge! The separate living areas were perfect for our group to have enough space to relax without being piled on top of one another. The location between Blue Ridge and Ellijay was super convenient. The roads leading to the cabin were narrow and winding, but not hard to traverse. Meeting other cars can be a bit tricky if you're not in a place with a pull off. The gas fireplaces were awesome and kept the cabin warm and cozy! The kitchen is well appointed with all of the gadgets that you could possibly need to cook a fabulous family meal! We had a great time! I highly recommend traveling to Amicalola State Park for zip lining and beautiful views. Our zip guides were fabulous and they take complementary pictures throughout your zip experience and email them to you so your memories last a lifetime!
