Grab yourself a kayak and go for a paddle down the Dismal Swamp Canal. The name is deceiving, by the way–this place is anything but dismal! Take a tour of the USS Wisconsin (BB-64), which was commissioned on the second anniversary of Pearl Harbour and served in the Pacific Theatre of World War II. Your flight will probably land at Norfolk International Airport (ORF), about 24 km from downtown Chesapeake.
