The hotel is dated but was a very comfortable option in the area for our overnight stay. Small things such as corner light not working {probably needed a new bulb} and tv in other family members room was hopeless..could just about get BBC1. We were only staying overnight though and didn't eat there, but staff kindly allowed us to help ourselves to extra tea and coffee in the breakfast area. Beds were comfortable and bedding and towels all very clean. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer provided - all very useful after travelling.

Excellent customer service.
I arrived early after a long drive. I had a lot of luggage because I was going to a wedding and then traveling on to a 3 week long trip. The lady in reception was so helpful. She helped me unload my car, found a wheeled coat rail and helped me get my luggage up to my room. She also arranged for my room to be cleaned next so I could check in. Excellent customer service. My room was a little dated but clean and spacious. Nice view of the golf course. The bar and lounge area is lively. Staff are very friendly. The food was nice (tofu katsu curry). Prices are reasonable for a hotel.

Breakfast need much upgradng. Lots of ELBOW GREASE required on lots of places about round about the intererior of the hotel - brass , entrance, lift etc

The property was lovely from the outside as it is set on a golf course, but inside it is very dated. The receptionist was miserable. The room had America sockets ( round pins) so couldnā€™t plug in my electrics. The bathroom was stained and dated. The lamp and hairdryer was broken. The food was good value but the breakfast buffet was not very good. Cold plates and Luke warm food and coffee. Unfortunately I wonā€™t stay here again.

Perfect place to take our 2 dogs. Plenty of space to take them for walks and the room was spacious and clean. No doggy smells lingering at all. Itā€™s personal choice. Some may say itā€™s old and tired but I loved the wooden panelling, the wooden furniture and traditional features and textiles. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Very quiet and peaceful abd very comfy bed. Only flaw was flush of toilet which wasnā€™t great but we overlooked this as everything else was perfect for US! We will definitely be using this hotel as our go to place when visiting family in Kent from now on.

Dated hotel with issues.
We had an issue during our stay. We tried to be fair and reasonable about it, but we did not receive an update prior to our departure. Itā€™s a sprawling hotel with minimal CCTV and very old key locks. The rooms are extremely dated. The shower is hot, but not by any means a power shower. The toilet flush was weak. The rooms are however very clean, as is the entire hotel. All the staff we met including the manager were very friendly and polite. There is a surcharge for dogs we were not aware of. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant area. Service was good in the restaurant and the food was reasonably priced. We would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it to friends.
