Very good. Excelled Expectations.
Very bougie, staff were helpful. For a cheap hotel excelled expectations. Was relaxful. Very quite so had a good nights sleep! Only complaint is that after a certain time all shops was shut in the area as well as the bar/reception and couldn’t use card on vending machine so couldn’t get any food/drinks.

OK FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY
Arriving at the hotel we had difficulty finding a parking space and eventually ended up parking at the rear of the hotel and walking around to reception - not ideal, especially when its pouring with rain. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was OK and the bed very comfortable although the aircon didn't work and the bathroom door wouldn't shut at all. We had a carvery in the restaurant which was very good as was breakfast the following morning. The ambience of the hotel is unfortunately rather drab and the whole place needs an uplift. Having said that, its a reasonable place for an overnight stay but I wouldn't want to spend any longer than that.

Average, no service continuity
For a budget hotel for a business trip, everything was as so expected. The most annoying part of the trip was calling in advance to speak to a lovely receptionist to discuss a late check out as I'd not be arriving to the hotel until past midnight. "No problem" she said, "just let them know when you check in and we'll let you check out at 12 instead of 10 as you're arriving later!" The girls at 1am had no clue about this and were not prepared to honour it telling me "this is just not what we do here". Normally, I'd accept that but I'd already been told it was possible. Eventually it was honoured however annoying. Room was hot so no worries if you like it warm. Window opens wide enough to cool it down. Fixtures are dated and could do with an update and pillows are a bit pants. All in all for £60 you get what you pay for. Would I stay again? Sure, but I won't be requesting a late check out hahaha :)

Some staff friendly but bar staff rude & unhelpful. Building and facilities all very tired. Had to pay extra to use the pool and was initially told children can't use it afterr 4pm, yet check-in is From 4pm! Could not dine in as very limited seating. Breakfast selection was underwhelming: cooked breakfast, croissants & cereal okay. But tinned fruit. Dairy milk only. And the coffee was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced.

This is the first hotel I have stayed in which is not cleaned every day. And I have travelled internationally. The hotel staff openly told me that they do not clean the rooms every day because they are only a "three star" hotel. In fact in five days there was never any cleaning service unless you strongly protest and request for it. The facility is overall old and run down with the shower in medival conditions and hot water limited. The hotel does not serve lunch. If you are flying from Gatwick and only staying overnight it is alright. More than two nights it is a pain.

Check out is 10 am unfortunately I slept through my alarm. Woke up to all lights on a cleaning lady and security man around the bad screaming and shouting at me. This was 10:40. 40 minutes and being treated like I had stolen something in a shop. Unacceptable behaviour from staff/ security over a simple mistake.

Poor hotel. Choose somewhere else if you can
Poor hotel, when we arrived our room wasn’t done. The toilet door wouldn’t lock. The lift wasn’t working. Staff’s attitude was bordering hostile. The original room where they placed us was stinky. Not an experience we will repeat
