1st of the hotel is old , the room we stayed in needed some updating, carpets we not bad but had some stains not many that needed attention. the toilet was small, old round toilet with a bad seat. it was usuable but how much does a toilet seat cost? but we think the rate of $104 was very fair for the area. Most hotels nowadays are crazy priced. I am done spending $300 for a place to sleep. lots of restaurants (the depot w/ 10 food court restaraunts most around $13 a plate was good & quality food) ) across the street 24 hour security out side the depot made us feel safe. the rodeo restaurant next door was good as well as the drinks & the food. I was surprised to watch a fairly nicely dressed young black male ( by the way I am not racist I am married to a Latin woman) sitting there at 4 pm stripping the signed dollar bills stapled to the walls being put in his coat pocket. I guess things have changed too much for this old country boy. this should not have been allowed. but today society has gone nuts. all in all we had a nice stay at the magnolia.
