Guests are very well catered for. Great facilities, very clean, super friendly staff. Breakfast delicious. Note, restaurant/room service not always available if the restaurant is quiet and closes early, however staff still go above and beyond to ensure you can get something to eat e.g. sandwich. Generous complimentary mini-fridge. Comfortable bed with very good quality bedding. Very important, so worth repeating that it's very clean, the housekeeping team do a great job. Parking a bit of a pain but the multi story car park is less than 5 mins walk. We'll be back.

Comfortable and Fantastic service
What great service, Reception is so friendly and nothing is a problem. Breakfast is great, lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Really great hot chocolates and waffles. Rooms are beautifully done, the housekeeping staff take such care and have such fantastic attention to details. Definately a great place to stay.
Comfy with plenty of pillows.
Loved the wet room shower with great lighting.
Mini bar and tea selection is great.

Our Manx stay
Hotel is quite expensive for what you get. Bathroom needs an upgrade water all over floor when showering and very dark with insufficient lighting and very few places to put your stuff. Quite noisy at night quadruple glazing fitted but when closed of course no fresh air. Staff very good and helpful. Breakfast could do with kippers on the menu especially being a Manx hotel with wet fish shop close by.

Property was very well situated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was tasty and an added value. Making snacks and soft drinks available in the room free of charge was a nice touch. Only minor negative was weak soundproofing between rooms. We could distinctly hear our neighbor's TV. Would recommend this hotel.

Well positioned hotel in the rather faded Douglas sea front parade. Very good breakfast with lots of choices, and we ate in the restaurant in the evening. The Belgian beef stew was very good

Other than not having on location parking, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel! My husband and i did a one night stay and booked an ocean view room. The room was excellent and the location was perfect, easy to walk the sea promenade and many restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and well laid out with a neat mood lighting feature. The restaurant was surprisingly good. I had an excellent steak with an amazing mushroom sauce.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place
We had a long weekend here and we were not disappointed. EVERYONE absolutley everyone could not do enough for us. As it was our 40th wedding ann they decorated the room with balloons.NO CHARGE The food was fab, wine by the bottle a tad expensive. The Belgium Beef Stew was OMG delicious. The beds mega comfy, the room spotless, the attention to detail even down to making flowers in the toilet roll and tissue boxes. WE can not wait to go back. Pete no more pranks on the youngster, until we get back lols.They even pointed me in the direction of Trike Hire Company. MEGA stay thanks guys.

Great Weekend in a Great Hotel
Hotel was in a great location, central to everything, was very comfortable and very clean. Staff were extremely friendly, especially Rachel and Peter. Breakfast was also very good, no complaints there! The only negative comment I would give is the walls and floors were VERY, VERY thin, to the point that we were whispering in our room to each other, as we heard every conversation next door and above us.

Love this hotel
My 2nd stay at the Halvard and it didn’t disappoint. Staff are amazing and very friendly. Rooms are very nice and the bed is very nice and bathroom modern, would have liked there to have been a bath but it’s only minor. Breakfast is very nice and views out to see are great. Hotel has no parking - you can park on the promenade if you time it right, after 4.15 and cars start to leave so spaces come availible and will be free till 8am (if you change you parking disc to 8 after 6pm the you have until 10am. Otherwise it’s a short walk to a multi-storey. One negative with me room (103) is the lift shaft runs by my room and is very noisy so I was woken a couple of times around 6.30 when someone used it.
