Wyndham Extra Holidays - accommodation in French Quarter

This hotel was worth so much more than advertised. We came for our first time to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. From arrival you could fill the rich history of the hotel from outside. The staff greetings are very kind and comforting as they lead you into the hotel to find an ambiance perfected to showcase the buildings architecture and artwork. You can immediately tell this building has had multiple uses in its lifetime and has made the perfect fit to continue to comfort guest as a hotel. It is clean to perfection from entry to your room. The rooms have enough old design to remind you of its age, yet enough modern upgrades to be that of any high rated hotel. The hotels dinning and bar is conveniently located on Orleans and Bourbon st, which you can exit right onto Bourbon street. The bartenders made the best cocktails that we had the entire time we were in the French Quarter, and we went everywhere! The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the French Quarter which made it easy access for us to go in and out of our room while enjoying the festivities of Mardi Gras. If you are tired of being on Bourbon st, simply walk back into the bar and enjoy the live entertainment of Jazz bands and the best cocktails. We will definitely make The Bourbon Orleans Hotel our “go to” the next time we come. Mardi Gras or not! It’s an automatic recommendation to family and friends.

Great location!

The staff all around are wonderful. Walking distance from everything in the quarter. Hotel was clean. Hotel is old, elevator was a little squeaky but I feel that it adds character. Hot water pressure in shower was excellent. Our bed was comfortable but it does need updating. Hotel is in a quiet residential area. If you love a hotel with character and a friendly staff and don’t mind walking… this is for you. Pricing was fair during Mardi Gras. I would recommend and return.
