Staff was on strike so the money i spent for the amenities did not match. Rooms weren't ready for a lot of guests because they were so short staffed and simple things like towels weren't readily available and had to get it yourself. I don't care about that but when you spend that type of money you would hope its included. Other than that, Hawaii was beautiful! But if i knew about that strike i would have booked else where.

The property did not notify us that there was a huge worker’s strike going on at the time of our visit. No housekeeping services, no valet, no frontdesk until 12 noon, no one answering our phone calls. It was a nightmare.

We arrived the day the property went on strike. It was HORRIBLE. Half the amenities were open, and the half that was open wasn't serving everything. None of the pool bars/dining were open. We woke up everyday to strikers protesting by 7 am. They woke us up by bullhorn and didn't stop till after 9 pm. We didn't get offered anything for dealing with it. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Chaos outside, beauty inside.
It is part of a huge compound and was very hard to find. The hotel check-in/bag drop driveway is nearly impossible to find. It took 2 hours to drop bags off, check in, park, and get back to room. The parking lot is one large structure for 6 hotels and was almost always full and chaotic. The pool and beach was a long walk away (10 mins) and you have to walk through a large bazaar open to the public. This aside, the room was wonderful, the staff helpful, and the stay nice. This would have been 5 stars but the learning curve was a nightmare and deeply frustrating. An email from the hotel explaining this would have been a great idea….

It was really bad , my daughter found a bedbug on her bed and she also noticed bites in her legs also my husband had some bug bites too , I call the desk and the manager supposed come but he never did and I end up walking my self with a dead bug on my hand ; it seems like he didn’t care . absolutely stunning hotel room. i have a large family and these room was perfect for us. 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. 2 balcony entrances. a kitchen and a washer machine. just perfect. we had such a great time and was able to walk all over waikiki without a problem but the resort itself also had amazing food places and just beautiful to explore as well. we loved the ice cream place at the resort we stopped a few times during our stay. we can’t imagine staying anywhere else in waikiki after this visit.
