The room is large and clean with a nice size shower. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and other nice amenities like coffee and television, refrigerator table and chairs, etc. it also had a nice fan. What I didn’t like is a parking was very tight we were fortunate on both of our nights stay to find a spot right in front of the hotel but I suppose if we come a bit later, we would’ve had to struggle to find a place nearby.

My mother and I had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Carlton Hotel, all the staff were very hospitable and could not do enough for us throughout our stay. We spoke to other returning guests whilst we were there and can see why they do so as the hotel was all that we required. I can see why it has such good reviews. The food each night in the restaurant was superb and the service too. I would definitely return if I was to visit Ilfracombe or this area again.

The hotel was exactly what I was looking for. Somewhere quiet but not to far from the water. The food was very good but the service for dinner was very slow and they forgot to ask me if I wanted a dessert. However, TBH they were very full and everyone seemed very young and inexperienced apart from the bar man. Breakfast had a lot to offer and most likes seemed to be well catered for. I love dogs but am allergic. I was a little worried before I arrived but there was nothing to worry about at all. If there had ever been a dog in my room then there was no sign at all. The room was excellently cleaned and the bed was enormous. The shower was excellent too with a lot of water pressure and enough hot water. I will go there again

The hotel is very clean and looked to have been recently renovated. The breakfast staff were friendly and very efficient with a good variety of hot and cold breakfast available. Unfortunately there are building works across the road which are noisy. I would recommend a room upgrade as our room was very small.

This property was OUTSTANDING, all newly decorated, wonderfully, fantastic facilities And the restaurant matched any top restaurant in london. Tbh, i was exoecting another tired seaside hotel, thats not what i got. It really was 11 out of 10...and im fussy

Was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was, we were in town for a wedding and needed a place for the weekend. The room, albeit on the smaller side, was new and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent room, very spacious with huge and comfortable bed and very nice fitments. En-suite bathroom also very good with excellent shower. Friendly staff, good quality food and good general cleanliness throughout the hotel. Only small issue was limited on-site parking, especially when a coach was present.

Very clean and well kept hotel, very modern decor, bathroom and shower were excellent. Room was really hot with no a/c but fan provided. Rooms are on the small side Upon arrival they must have had issues with their system as they had mixed my data up with a previous guest who shared the same name. Had paid via hotels.com months prior to arrival and when checking out was asked to pay again! Staff apologetic. On arrival family had booked table of 4 for dinner however hotel wasn’t flexible in trying to cater for the other 4 even though hotel restaurant was far from at capacity, gave nice suggestions for other local restaurants to try. Breakfast was lovely other than serving cold coffee, neighbouring table also had same issue

We stayed at the Carlton to view wedding venues for our daughter . The hotel was lovely the bedroom very spacious, the bed lovely and comfy , the bathroom aiiry and everywhere was clean . Breakfast was lovely and all the staff very friendly . We had a lovely stay and will definitely recommend
