What airline is JQ?
JQ is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code for Jetstar Airways. The code that’s usually used for flight operations, however, is the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code JST. Jetstar’s main hub is Melbourne Airport, but they also have secondary hubs in Auckland, Brisbane, and Cairns. Mystery solved.

Does Jetstar fly direct to Singapore?
Jetstar does indeed have nonstop flights to Singapore, departing from Melbourne. If you take this flight, it will be around eight hours, so make sure to bring your headphones, some snacks, and remember to stretch your legs a bit. 

Does Jetstar fly overseas?
Yes! Jetstar flies to 18 international destinations and seven countries across Asia, North America, and Oceania. If you’re looking for a flight to the United States, the only city Jetstar flies to is Honolulu, Hawaii. That’s not a bad place to land, though. 

Who is Jetstar affiliated with?
Jetstar is the value-based wing of Qantas Airways, but they also have codeshare agreements with a number of airlines, such as American Airlines, Emirates, Finnair, Japan Airlines, and of course, Qantas. What does this mean for you? It means that it’s a lot easier to get from A to B or even A to J. Jetstar can offer flights to destinations they don’t actually serve thanks to these partnerships.

Does Jetstar have business class?
Jetstar does offer business class for travellers who like to ride in style and up their legroom to luxurious heights. When you fly Jetstar’s business class, you’ll get to carry on a bit more (two bags at 7kg each), have an extra wide seat so you can throw your elbows about a bit, and get a dedicated cabin and service.
