Recently refurbished hotel. Very nice bar the old windows which are not sound proof. Hotel were very good and moved us upon request due to traffic noise (as windows so poor). Staff throughout were brilliant. Would stay again.

We booked a room for 2 adults 1 child but, on checking in , discovered the room had only been made up for 2. However, Holly (the lovely lass on reception), was exceptional in getting this sorted. It really is a joy to find someone who goes the extra mile to own and sort a problem (especially when it was not one of her making).

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Whilst we were there "in a recently redecorated room" we found that the electrical sockets did not work, there was no telephone, the air conditioning leaked (where you hang your clothes), the drawers are cheap and broken, it was a non-smoking room but stank of stale tobacco and there were dead spiders all over the windowsill. There were no charging points near the bed either unless you crawl under the table. Along with this the lobby door was broken and one of the elevators was permanently out of action. This was compounded by the other elevator sometimes working, and you guessed it, sometimes not. In the lobby area there are some decorative ornaments and yes some of them are broken and falling apart as well, lovely choking hazard for the kids. If things couldn't be worse this hotel really knew how to make your blood boil. When we arrived, we found out there was a wedding and party that had been booked in the conference rooms, in itself not a problem until you find out that the rooms are directly on top the conference rooms being used. I always thought a bedroom was primarily for sleeping in but apparently not in this hotel. The music, which felt and sounded like being in the conference room, went on until 00:10 and people were outside directly below our room until 00:30. The rooms are not soundproof and the windows offer no soundproofing either. The rats in garden also added a special charm.

As always staff and service excellent, however we had poor WiFi reception in our room this time but there was renovation works being carried out on other floors which may have effected the signal.. Cooked breakfast is always tasty and well served! Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon :)

little tired but good staff
Veryfriendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking space. Good size room but decor was quite tired. The armchairs had warn upholstery, the carpet was well worn. This hotel is quite remote from any town or facilities.
