Air condition is not working properly is most room
The hotel rooms was great, but the air condition is not great, the weather was so hot outside and I have set the temperature to the lowest 19’C , it seems the aircond is not working properly. Even thought I have request for the room change, the staff did test another room , it seems the same condition, there is no point to change the room, the kind staff did offer me a fan. If you are a big guy like me , I would not recommend it. Unless is winter that’s different again.

Very nice stay at Daiwa. Not only is the 7 eleven downstairs conviient but I choose it because it is a short walk from Kyoto station. The room was also a great size in for two couples, we had a small suitcase and a large one. We were able to spread both of them to use. The tolitires were great and the bathroom with the tub was nice, was able to soak in there twice during my stay it was very nice. I would stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

Convenient to Kyoto Station, but distant from Gion and other areas of interest. Trains and subway from the station are easy. Hotel was comfortable for our family trip.

Definitely a pleasant experience! Loved the tub to soak in to soothe my aching muscles after a long day of walking and the rainfall shower to enjoy. Friendly staff and great experience.

Hotel is right next to train station so you'll hear the trains and announcements all night. If you don't mind that, it is very convenient to just walk across the street to the station to get to where you're going. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Room is larger than normal rooms in Japan.

Best place to stay if you are visiting Kyoto. Close to Kyoto station, ultra modern and clean units. Well stocked with lots of amenities. Staff is very friendly and is good at communicating in English. Breakfast was good, more Japanese focused than American focused. Don't expect a make your own waffle machine or vials of frosted flakes here. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
