This is a summertime oasis with large sundecks catching great sunshine. Whip up a meal in the modern kitchen to enjoy al fresco, or simply fire up the BBQ for a classic Kiwi dinner.

All the modern amenities leave nothing to be desired, including a BBQ, WiFi, TV and DVD player, a coffee machine and even shared tennis courts. Take a soak in the cedar spa pool - looking out over the lake is a spectacular way to end the day, come summer or winter.

Lake Tarawera offers so much to fill your days, whether it's a water taxi service to Hot Water Beach, finding a natural hot pool, or taking a hike along the Tarawera River to spectacular Tarawera Falls.

In summer make the most of the local fishing spots (charters available), or brave the lake water for a good swim to cool off right at the bottom of the garden.
