Second time we have stayed here and it was great! The staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast is great. There is parking at the hotel but if it’s full you can park outside on the street. It’s very safe. The booths cctv of the car park.

Room and bathroom were very clean. That’s the good bits. Tv in room not secured to wall so it was hanging a bit precariously One of the bedside lights was hanging off the wall Mirror over sink all cracked Windows in room and bathroom not cleaned which became more obvious when steam from shower showed a p3n!s and long finger marks which had been made on the window. Pillows very thin. 2 together felt like 1 pillow. Mattress basic but ok. Continental breakfast also very basic. The room where it was served was really small and the breakfast sittings mean you have a cluster of people all at once. Not well laid out. £50 security payment held by hotel from my credit card which is going to take up to 30 days to be paid back. I travel a fair amount for work and found this really unusual, more so because it’s just for the first time I book here. If I come back it won’t be taken again. But it’s taken for additional cleaning charges etc.

Good comfy hotel great staff
The room was clean and tidy and bathroom was very good too, I was hoping for a bath but there was a shower, it was a very good waterfall shower tho and nice hot water. The room was freezing when I arrived and no heating from the radiators but a visit to the lovely lady on the desk and within 5 minutes I had a heater and she got the radiators working. It was very cosy after that and I slept very well, I was given extra pillows on request too. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was continental but that was fine with me and check out was 11am which was great. All in all id say it was a lovely hotel, it was extremely reasonable, even though I didn't know about the £50 security deposit but that was my fault for not reading the email from the hotel. I would stay again definitely. It's close to sefton park and lark lane and parking is not a big problem.

Had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and the building itself is impressive. The only negatives I have is the mattress we had in room 5 was very soft and seemed to dip in the middle which was uncomfortable at times, and the breakfast needs some attention (we ended up going out for breakfast elsewhere), however everything else was great - Thankyou

Fanastic location for transport, bus stops to go anywhere in the City is within 1 minute of the hotel and thats walking slowly, well stocked bar, guinness, Coors and Carling on draught, pool table for a bit of fun, its all here.

The hotel looks like it had been a vintage house which has been turned into a small hotel. The staff were attentive and the interior spotless. Rooms were tiny. A solid complimentary breakfast was provided. A bus or taxi provides about a 20 minute ride to the center of Liverpool.

Clean and nice service but rather old
Apart from giving us keys for someone else’s room….hmmmm. Place is ok - but is old and very basic. I have 5 criteria for a hotel - comfy beds (these were old and too soft), decent shower (tiny and not great water flow), decent food (none available in the evening and breakfast didn’t include cooked breakfast - as advertised), decent coffee (only sachet coffee in rooms and machine coffee not great), and overall cleanliness and service…well they were pleasant and polite and the room was clean so no complaints. This is a £30-£40 a night hotel.

Bit of a rabbit warren. The curtains in my room where in need of maintenance and didn't close properly, which let the outdoor light, located outside my room in. There is no food available at night time, but this is made obvious when you check in. Good Wifi. Breakfast was basic, but plentiful. Still a good stay for the price.
