Room flighty booked a room for four women 2 single beds at a window then bed upstairs open plan very uncomfortable beds room freezing smoke alarms going off people smoking weed and the noise felt like other people in the room with us . Big sign for Xmas cocktails yet bar staff couldn’t make them only thing good was breakfast 😢

Booked a long time in advance got excellent price. Room for 8 people, only 1 toilet luckily there was only 5 of us. Bathrooms could do with a make over. But good value overall for what we paid.

Amazing stay rang me in the way down and asked if we would like an upgrade, which we took and we got an amazing suit with hot tubs in the room. Would recommend staying here, staff are friendly and happy to help. Room up grade was a really nice added bonus to make the stay even better

Low ambient lighting. Friendly cheerful staff from reception to the cleaners. Everyone, especially Danielle were really nice and customer friendly. Bar staff also very accommodating as there are no fridges in the room. They kindly provided an ice bucket with plenty of ice each time I asked. We (2) stayed for 5 nights and were given a really nice room for 4, to make our stay more pleasant. The jacuzzi bath was brilliant. Breakfast was included and was a mix of traditional full English and Continental with cereals. The smoked salmon was the best part but it wasnt available on the Thursday for some reason. However the hot buffet beakfast selection was plentiful. There was also orange, apple and cranberry juice available. As well as iced water. However on Thursday there was no ice in the water. They have a coffee machine which gave a decent seletion of coffees too. Bar has a pork scratchings oven too. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is really close to all the shops and the museum. There is air con in the rooms and an extra oil filled radiator. The hair dryer was in a bag in the wardrobe...took me ages to find it as I thought it was a laundry bag at first! The wardobe had a tendency of opening by itself too. Lots of mirrors in the room too. Being only 5 ft 2, I found the bathroom mirror a bit too high. The TV is fixed so you can't swivel it around on an angle like on a cruise.

We like this one!
Really liked this place, classy, comfy and quirky! Despite the name the football connection is very low key but the place is very blue! Reception and bar very nice, our room was big and well furnished with some quirky decor. breakfast was ok, just the usual buffet. car park 1 min city centre 2 mins, will stay again
