The service was impeccable. I was really impressed - not to mention grateful - by how empathetic and prompt they were towards addressing my wife’s need for cold showers due to her hives. There was no cold shower in our room, so the staff actually gave us access to a different room whenever she needed a cold shower. Special compliments must go to the front desk lady (my apologies for not getting her name) who checked us in at 2:04pm on Wednesday (27th February) and April who have been absolutely helpful.

Room was ok, but the bathroom was in need of a refit. Taps were loose from the sink, the shower and bath taps didn't work properly and the bathroom floor was falling apart.

Excellent choice for central Liverpool
The hotel is a five minute walk from Lime Street station, and also five minutes from Matthew Street and the Cavern reconstruction. The Albert Dock is about fifteen minutes away. My room was huge, with two double beds, two sofas, and a large whirlpool tub. The breakfast provided was very good, with selections including smoked salmon at the buffet. The bar was also a pleasant place to be. I’ll definitely stay there again!

Gorgeous hotel! The room was huge with 4 double beds. Only slight negative was the heating was on 26 degrees in the room when we checked in so took a while to cool the room down! Other than that we had the best stay and would definitely go back

The Dixie Dean Hotel was very welcoming. The staff were excellent and anything we asked them for they were happy to oblige. April and the gentleman who worked alongside her on our arrival on Tuesday were so friendly and obliging going out of their way to assist us. There was also a lady with long dark hair who was always cheerful and very friendly. Our room was huge, clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom needed a little TLC but it was clean and perfectly acceptable. The room was serviced daily which was good. The breakfast had excellent choice of hot and cold food and the waitresses were efficient and nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a great stay at the Dixie Dean. We got value for money, a comfortable and clean room and very pleasant staff. The hotel is in a great location for most things and the staff have access to an excellent taxi service should you need it. It would have got 5 stars from me except the bathroom did need a bit of TLC and the carpet had a couple of marks on ( looked like burn marks from straighteners) however we would certainly book it again. Not posh but perfectly fine for a few days away in one of our glorious cities.
