The Athena is a GEM. I can’t believe th price. The staff is amazing. The rooms are clean and modern. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are very small but honestly the perfect size if you just a need a place to sleep. 5 min walk from Paddington Station and 10 mins from Hyde Park with tons of restaurants right outside of it. This is my spot to stay now!

Convenient, clean and quiet.
This is the best buy hotel in London that I know of. The neighbourhood is not the best, but it is close to Paddington stn and many transit options. I keep returning because it is reliable and I have more money left over for theatre etc. My single room was at the top and not cramped. The lift rattled a bit, but it worked.

its a good basic hotel. No clocks or phones. Last year there was no TV available No worries. Very secure Excellent and very helpful staff. They told me where laundry was, a super market, where I could buy a cheap phone when I had phone problems a couple of blocks a way on Edgeware RD. very close to Paddington with multiple Metro lines.Very clean. The staff and location is what makes this hotel a winner at a more budget price. If you are there to just sleep this is the place for you. I went there last year and I returned there this year.

I was disappointed that the room was in basement-level. There was very little natural light in the room, because there was a wall right outside of the windows. Also, the bathroom was tiny. But the beds were clean, and loads of channels on the tv.

No AC not very great. Elevator didn't work at times. We had to sign some document at checkin regarding getting charged a full day if you just leave the room a few minutes wait. That felt uncomfortable.

Pleasant staff, easy checkin and checkout. Allowed me leave bagage in storage area for 4-5 hours after checkout. Breakfast 8.5gbp was probably worth the money but not inspiring. Good quiet location despite busy area. Lots of restaurants and small grocery stores nearby.

Helpful and and well situated
Our state was excellent! We appreciate it the staff so much! They were able to accommodate all of our needs and wishes happily and beyond. The room was small but adequate for our family. However it was perfect for a weekend in London. It is well situated close to the Paddington tube station. Very easy to get on the circle line and explore London. I would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to stay in the city! Thank you

We had a great stay at the Athena. It was quite small but we knew that going in. The location was great, just a few minutes walk to the Metro and several bus stops. The property was clean and felt safe at all times of day or night. There are also many shops and food within just a short walk as well.
