I booked this hotel for the 9th – 13th of May to stay with my husband and 3 children. (ages 1,4,6).
At first I thought we had found a bargain but after driving for 8 hours straight from Scotland, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we realised what SCAM that ‘bargain’ was. The man at the reception told us that the ‘continental breakfast’ advertised on their website was ‘a lie’, but that did not bother us as much as the actual room!!!
Upon entering the room, there was a foul smell of urine and faeces. The mattress that the baby was supposed to be sleeping on was completely covered in urine and the stunk was unbearable. No one had even bothered to change sheets -OR EVEN THE WHOLE MATTRESS!!! The room was dirty and there was mould everywhere.
As a result, we took the 3 kids and left, trying to find a new hotel at 3AM. The reception wasn’t even bothered at all.
If we actually stayed for even a night there, we would have gotten all sorts of diseases.
That is disgusting behaviour ESPECIALLY UNDER THE COVID-19 circumstances and I cannot actually believe hotels.com would even ADVERTISE such dangerous and unhygienic hotel on your website. Their contact numbers are not even working (none three of them) and their website is suspended. Couldn’t you just check if this was an actual hotel?
