Pearl Hotel (A Great Find)
I stayed in the Pearl Hotel not Sapphire Hotel. It was a great find, just needed for somewhere to sleep, great value, and bed was super comfortable. Staff very obligeing, no problems, had luggage storage so before you could check in and when you checked out luggage could be left behind and collected again. This is a basic, clean, friendly place to stay, it was perfect for my needs Thank you Pearl Hotel.

Booked a room in the Sapphire Hotel, upon check-in was told am staying in the sister hotel 3 doors down the road called the Pearl Hotel. The photos of the room in sapphire was part of the reason I booked cheap and nice room for 5 night's. No lift, stairs were steep and was given room on the top floor so getting my bag upstairs was exhausting, would recommend packing lightly. Walls of my room had holes and someone wrote on the walls. Ceiling in the shower had a hole filled with an empty plastic bottle. Every evening at front door there is a strong smell of weed, quite alot of groups of people standing about the outside streets. Constant sirens and people shouting in the street, really busy street. Housekeepers leaving hoovers, piles of laundry over the stairs. Pros. Walking distance to 3 underground stations, bus stops. Room had a tv which i was able to log into my netflix account etc, fan attacted to the wall room can get really hot, fridge was a great feature.

We stayed at sapphire hotel last aug 9 and it was very hot that night, the fan provided was covered in dust and did not feel safe to leave the windows open since we were on the ground floor. The bathroom drain was clogged and was very slow to drain the water so it got flooded after I showered.

Be careful what you're booking!
Stay here if you really cant find anywhere else. Originally put into a different hotel than the one booked online (And it was a s**t hole). Then, when pointed out that this is not the hotel we booked, he put us into to the hotel we should have been in, but it was a twin room, not a double room which we booked. After a third visit to reception (7 hotels up the road), they finally put us into a family room in a basement. Although the room was satisfactory first appearance, it was a very warm evening and the fan didnt work and you couldn't watch the tv comfortably from the bed. I personally wouldn't recommend or stay here again.

I was good enough for the price
For what I needed for the Hotel it was fine but I would have preferred to stayed in the Sapphire hotel vs the Emerald hotel, like I booked, just because it was closer to the venue for my concert for this weekend.
