In no particular order. Bed was massive, not exaggerating when I say we could’ve got 4 adults in it. Me and the missus both like to sleep on the edge of the bed and I was surprised there wasn’t an echo when we were chatting. Loved the bed and it was very comfortable. The ceiling in the room was high and the room spacious. We were on the 3rd floor and the lifts were broken but stuff happens and I needed the exercise so I’m not marking the hotel down for that. We’re from the area and just fancied a night out so no strangers to the city centre and while that particular corner isn't exactly easy on the eye, it’s just a few minutes walk to very good shopping, drinking and eating so the location can’t be faulted. We’d happily stay there again.

Omar at check in was really nice and helpful. He’s a real credit to the hotel and made us feel very welcome, which was a lovely way to start our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Location is great, but on our visit the Lift was out of order, when you’re staying on the 4th floor it’s a killer walk especially with baggage. The heating/aircon unit wasn’t working on the first night and the room was cold. The reception staff were helpful, and Holly in the bar looked after us with some nice cocktails.

Great stay, friendly staff, rooms were quiet. Lift was out of order for our stay but not an issue for us as we were put on the 1st floor. Easy walk to NQ, city centre and rail/bus links. Parking available round the corner on Dale.St Citi Park. Will definitely come again!

Easy check in, lift broken but an issue for us. Offer of luggage being carried. Room lovely, clean and had everything you need. Slept well despite being able to hear the comings and going’s of the city. Discounted parking a couple of minutes walk away.

I love this hotel and I’ve been doing short stays here when I’m in town or passing through for a decade. Staff are always superb - proper hospitality professionals - and the building is magnificent. I’ve stayed in many of their upper tier rooms, and they are super gorgeous, but even this trip, in one of their basic rooms, everything was great - cute, great bed, nice bathroom, WiFi speaker, nice desk, generally lovely room to be in. And breakfast is really smashing - not a buffet, menu-based, and a treat.

Overall this is a good hotel that I have stayed at a few times. It’s disappointing that the lift was still broken along with air conditioning in both of the rooms offered. In the second room one of the windows opened and I was provided with a fan. Staff on reception were excellent but I would have expected maybe a complementary drink or breakfast to make up for the issues.
