So disappointing. We arrived after midnight due to a delayed flight. The front desk let my daughter and I in, while there were two men just standing at the front desk talking to each other. The employee finally offered to help us after standing there for a few minutes. Then we got to our room on the 4th floor. There was an a/c floor unit with a big tube out the window. Loud noises from the street. No remote control for the TV, the front desk brought us one but was not working or programmed. And no hair dryer. Very disappointing after we had stayed here in the past and it was a great stay. I would not recommend this hotel after this stay!

While the rooms are pretty compact this property is conveniently located very close to Downtown Brooklyn (Barclays etc.) - and is very well maintained. Breakfast took a little long to be served in the morning - but in general everyone at the hotel was friendly, curteous, and extremely helpful.

They double book rooms I didn’t get the room type I booked which was a room with two beds. I ended up having to book another room and they ended up giving me a two beds room I reserved but wouldn’t let me keep it and cancel the original one.

It is really a good location for getting on transit subway to manhattan. Located near restaurants, Whole Foods, etc. The nightly rate was very reasonable.

My stay at the EVEN hotel was clean and safe. The amenities were comfortable and the bathroom exceeded expectations for size, cleanliness and convenience. I did not have much need to interact with the staff but the few times I needed their services they were courteous and efficient. They were also appropriately staffed at odd hours. The hotel is within a short walk to several different transit options, convenience stores, shopping and food at every price range. Some 24-hour dining available nearby as well. I'd prefer to give this stay 4.5 stars rather than 4 stars but that is not an option. There were a few areas that fell a little short. There is very little space to work and what workspace there is is awkwardly positioned and difficult to sit at. When working, there are no convenient surfaces for food or drinks. The marketplace/breakfast area is sparse and seemingly under equipped. Nevertheless, these weren't deal breakers and I would stay here again.

Whilst its not a 5 star hotel... the service and staff definatley are. So impressed with how we have been treated. We have everything we could ask for and its very comfortable. Even with a bigger budget id still choose to stay here.

Overall, very good option for a hotel in expensive NYC. The rate was relatively reasonable and the accomodations were very good. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful and the facility including the room was very clean. My only complaint is ice and water (hydration stations) were not operational on the floors, You had to go down to front desk area. The other complaint is the desks in the rooms. Not comfortable and not conducive to working in the room. The desks are pub style in a murphy style that are attached to the wall. The chairs do not fit or not adjustable (at least in my room). This was a bit of an issue for me as I work remotely and needed to work while visiting. Other than these 2 issues I would highly recommend this hotel.
