State of the bathroom was unacceptable with mould all around the shower. Bathroom floor and sink tap was also dirty. Not a great experience. I’ve emailed pictures to the front desk management (in front of them), but only received a “sorry” and no follow up.

Really lovely stay at The Grand - hotel room is spacious, clean and comfortable and added touch of chocolates/anniversary card. We did receive our Expedia VIP benefit of £20 food/wine credit but actually didn't realise we had so would have been good for this to be noted. We also enjoyed the spa in the morning and the breakfast (though at £25 , make sure you're hungry). Lovely 1906 bar too with live music. Walkable to York.

Lovely stay, shower got blocked and flooded the bathroom. The TV station available were very poor and not in HD. There doesn't seem to be any way of recycling your rubbish.

Fantastic hotel with a wonderful staff team. Every staff member we met was unfailingly polite, professional and friendly - they seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and meeting guests. The room was comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast offered a good selection of items and the spa was well managed with time allocations so that it wasn’t ever overcrowded. The hotel was very central, close to restaurants, shops and the rail station. Particularly helpful staff were the doormen, the concierge and Antoine.

This was my second stay at The Grand York. This is a true 5-Star hotel that is conveniently located close to the train station (5-minute walk) as well as the City Center. You will not be disappointed with The Grand.

Exceptional stay.
Everyone I interacted with during my 3 day stay was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Definitely a shout out to the concierge Matteo for his excellent service in helping me plan my time and transportation. Sarah in the spa gave me a wonderful massage. She is so knowledgeable and helpful. First impressions are so important and the greeters at the front door are so pleasant and welcoming. The Grand, York is in a perfect position to stay while exploring the town and is within minutes of the railway.
