Great location next to the marina. Chair at the room’s desk was damaged but promptly replaced. Breakfast on first day was mediocre. “Breakfast potatoes” were tepid. Sausage had been hanging around a bit too long and the toast was a bit soggy. Eggs were very good. Had dinner on Christmas Day- fish and chips. Very large portion size, fish batter wasn’t particularly crisp which was disappointing. I’d give the food 6/10, not great value for money. Snacks from the on-site shop were extortionate. Extra coffees provided upon request by the friendly reception staff.

Today, we checked out of the Hilton hotel, and I can confidently say that this will be our last Hilton reservation ever. We had booked the hotel through Expedia, despite being Hilton Honor members. However, I noticed a charge on my account and called the hotel to inquire about it. The receptionist simply explained that we were not Hilton Honor members and were therefore charged for the water. I clarified that I was a member, but they insisted that since we had booked through a third party, we needed to pay the full rate. Oh, and there was this other thing that caught our attention. The rooms in the photos looked so much better than they actually were when we got there. They were super outdated and not as cool as we had imagined. On the positive side, the receptionists who checked us in and the one I had contacted before our arrival to inform the hotel about our late check-in were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was convenient and quiet, which was a plus.

Has to be the most poorly insulated hotel I’ve ever been in. You can hear an eyelash falling down the hallway. Its really unfortunate because the location is stellar!

The receptionist at the front was nice and welcoming. We arrived to our room close to midnight after a long drive that turned to nearly 10 hours from Los Angeles. When we finally got to our room as soon as we opened the door, it had a bad odor. We checked the room out it seemed decent and clean. When I was about to charge my phone on the nightstand next to our beds I noticed there was what seemed like mice poop. We were so tired and just wanted to get some rest since we had to check out the next morning at 8. So we decided to call it a night, but honestly this ruined our night and we felt traumatized and couldn’t get a good night rest thinking we might have some mice crawling on our beds. We didn’t even feel comfortable to shower, or touch anything! We just wanted to get out of there asap. I would never stay here again, so unfortunate because the views outside are beautiful! That’s the reason why we chose this hotel to begin with. Another down fall, you have to pay for parking.

Fantastic staff/team at the hotel. Stunning views of downtown SF from the marina. It’s better to look at San Francisco, than to stay there. The hotel is tucked away from the freeway and all of Berkeley’s problems. I’ve always felt safe here compared to hotels closer to the city. The heating/AC unit didn’t work in my room and it took over a day to get maintenance to fix it.
