The house:
This fully furnished home has spectacular views from almost every room, built with an open plan flow and extensive floor-to-ceiling glass panels.
The top level has combined living, dining and kitchen, opening onto a wooden deck as well as an inner courtyard. The main bedroom is on this level. The lower level has two bedrooms and large bathroom, and there is a common area with a sofa/bed (sleeps 1)
It has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and coffee machine. There is coffee tea milk and sugar, and cooking basics - herbs spices olive oil etc.
Linen, towels and fluffy duvets are provided. You'll wallow in luxury. Bathrooms have liquid soap and shampoo.
The house is very eco friendly, and is cosy in winter with underfloor heating.
In summer the house is cooled by utilising natural breezes by cross ventilation.
Although the property has a few stairs, the entire upper level is wheelchair accessible, (contact me for further details).
For a week or more there is a 20% discount, and 30% for longer than a month, Contact me for discounts for periods of many months, (going to write a book perhaps?) we can discuss further. If for some reason you have to cancel less than 60 days before arrival, I'll credit that amount for a stay at another time.
Nearby attractions:
Blenheim (30mins drive), the centre of the Marlborough wine-growing area, with over 20 wineries to choose from, and a selection of gourmet dining, bars, artisan food outlets and art galleries.
Nelson, Kaikoura, and the Nelson Lakes National Park are also nearby.
It is a perfect base for vineyard touring, (cellar door tastings, vineyard gourmet lunches).
It is also an ideal location for boat tours, swimming with dolphins, walking, bike tours, and adventure activities.
Queen Charlotte Track: If you want to split your stay so you can walk the track,
eg 1 night before and say a few days afterward contact me about options.
Or just enjoy the ever-changing unobstructed views from your luxury home base, a perfect place for a truly memorable visit to New Zealand’s South Island.
Getting Around:
Waikawa is 3kms from Picton, which is the terminus for the Inter Island Ferry. Shuttles are available for transport to and from the ferry and the airport in Blenheim.
The nearest shops/cafes/restaurants are in Picton.
One last thing I have never cancelled a booking, so you can be assured of stable travel plans.

-Please respect our neighbours, no noise after 10:00pm
-People other than those in guest party are not permitted to stay overnight in the property
-Conducting business with the public is not allowed
-Please leave it as tidy as it was when you arrived, a quick sweep out or vacuum would be appreciated, please wash dishes and leave the kitchen clean. The cleaning fee essentially covers laundry and scrubbing toilets and bathrooms etc
