OK for an overnight before boarding a cruise ship. Big plus is walking distance to National Express Bus from London Heathrow. Also very close (by taxi to cruise ship terminal). Very friendly staff and accommodating. They let us into our room early which we appreciated, and didn’t stick with some arbitrary “check-in time.” Rooms are small and b-a-s-i-c. Walk to at least three places for dinner and breakfast is at the hotel and included. Nothing fancy, but OK. We’d stay here again if we ever sail out of Southampton again.

This is a budget hotel but the rooms are as good as more expensive hotels and all the staff we encountered were very helpful and pleasant. We cannot comment on meals as we dd not dine there. The hotel is adjacent a retail park which was not a problem, the Westgate shopping centre is only a 15-20 minute walk away. Local transport does not run to the hotel but is within 10-15 minutes walk.

The room was lovely and clean. Unfortunately the cold air was not working so it was horrendously hot during the night. The fan in the room was filled with dust so we didn't use that.

We didn't get what we asked for . Bunk bed unstable for elderly mother. !!! Very difficult to access. Room very very warm. It was clean and it had a roof 😂
