This hotel must have been stunning when it opened thirty years ago. And to give everyone credit, the staff seem to be working hard to maintain its high service, style and sense of importance, though some modernisation and investment is probably due. Complimentary upgrade to large, extremely comfortable executive room (thank-you Expedia?) was a great start. Breakfast was very good with everything feeling fresh cooked. Very decently equipped gym. Spa a little dated but all working and going strong! Striking lobby, old-school concierge, and big Xmas decorations. Good location. Really enjoyed staying here, it felt a bit of a treat - and very definitely my hotel bargain of the year, for what I paid. Thanks to all and good luck to them.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Stayed for one night, Xmas shopping trip. Triple room which was fine for 3 ladies, one of us had a birthday so the hotel gifted some fizz, cake and chocolate to our room. Also plenty of tea and coffee, nespresso machine. Marco Pierre restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast, plenty of choices. All staff great customer service. Would highly recommend.
