Such a beautiful hotel and location. The view was absolutely magnificent from our room and really comfortable furnishings. Perfect location for Circular Quay and Opera House. What a shame that the service in the bar, at reception and the valet parking left ALOT to be desired. Made what could have been an ideal trip to Sydney for a family of Novacastrians a very upsetting. I won't be returning.

Very poorly set up for the business traveler. For example, no task lighting or desks in the rooms. Noisy business center with no privacy. Staff generally spread way too thin and consequently insufficiently attentive. Should be an embarrassment to the IHG brand, which I thought was still respected. Although the location is unbeatable, next time we will try a newer hotel.

Our first stay at the Intercontinental Sydney
For the most part we had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The recent renovations were outstanding and the room was first class; great view of Sydney Bridge! Front end staff were friendly and professional and they were happy to accommodate our needs. The breakfast buffett was excellent. Lots of options. We would certainly stay again. Only critique was the quality of the food and cocktails offered at the Treasury bar; both were of quite low quality. We also waited over 45 min for this disappointing food. I will say though the ambiance and design, of the atrium space is stunning.

Absolutely stunning views of the Harbour. The best Roof Top bar in the City, and the Treasury on the ground floor has the best staff, choice of beverage and light meals. The rooms are excellent, as is the room service. All around excellent.
