We travelled to Sydney to attend the Gladiator at the Opera House and were a little concerned about parking for our 'pride & joy' car. Not only did the valet staff go above and beyond to ensure the security of our car, the entire staff at Inter-Continental were exceptional. We had a fabulous, peaceful stay. Thanks team.

Such a beautiful hotel and location. The view was absolutely magnificent from our room and really comfortable furnishings. Perfect location for Circular Quay and Opera House. What a shame that the service in the bar, at reception and the valet parking left ALOT to be desired. Made what could have been an ideal trip to Sydney for a family of Novacastrians a very upsetting. I won't be returning.

The worst service i have ever had in any hotel. Slow, chaotic, long lines for reception, non-existent concierge and staff that could not care less. Really poor.

Good but
Mostly good review but in booking requested interconnecting rooms multiple times but were given rooms next to each other instead. Cups were dirty unfortunately & cleanliness was average for a 5 star. Location is excellent & Treasury bar is a great place to have a drink. Breakfast is top notch

Club lounge
Upon check in I asked if there was a chance of an upgraded room which was immediately granted. Afternoon tea was great and service quick. The evening beverages were plentiful and top quality, service very attentive. Food was sufficient but not great. 2 hot items, prawn and arancini. Then cheese, crackers …. Don’t expect it to be sufficient to skip dinner. The view was lovely overlooking botanic gardens and only one window overlooking harbour where there was no place to sit to see the view so we moved our table and chairs over a little so we could see out to the harbour bridge and opera house. Breakfast next morning in the bar upstairs had a stunning view overlooking harbour bridge and opera house. Al a carte menu was plentiful. Fresh juice good. There was also a table with cheese (assortment of great crackers) and cured meats to pick from. Salad items too. Lovely stay and the view at breakfast could not have been better. Sheraton on the park smashes it when it comes to the assortment of food available in the evening.

The location was great, the breakfast buffet was nice, and the rooms were roomy although lacking storage space. Nice hotel, I would not categorize it as a five-star. If you get a good rate it's worth it.

The hotel was good but we encountered a few issues upon arrival. The room wasn’t ready, TV wasn’t working and air conditioning wasn’t working either but they were quickly resolved. Staff was good and helpful. All in all, good stay and good experience.

We had an excellent stay at the Intercontinental Sydney, the room was modern, with very comfortable bedding and great pillow selection, good facilities on the 31st floor, with an amazing buffet breakfast

When I booked the hotel, I specifically requested change the king bed to two single beds. However, at check-in, I was informed that all rooms were fully booked, and it was impossible to switch. My 13-year-old son, who is 180 cm tall, was unwilling to share the king-size bed with me, so he had to squeeze onto the couch for the night. The hotel could have informed me in advance that they couldn’t accommodate the request, allowing me the option to book a different hotel.
