Excellent motel
My wife and I along with our 5 year old grandson stayed there for two nights. Excellent location with direct access from the room to the lake path. We had a water leak in the bathroom on our second day, which the owner sorted out quickly. The owner gave our grandson a goodie bag and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Some parts of the property are in need of renovation, but the new owners are busily working through the renovations. Great location and friendly owners and staff.

The sz of the room was great for a small family.The pool was warm enough to swim in with the grandchildren.The lake was at the doorstep basically.Great parking for more than one car per unit.

Good stay for price. Hot tube was unfortunately not very warm so did not use. Shower was dark as limited lighting in shower itself but otherwise good. Comfy bed and kitchen was of good use

The property isn't the most modern in the area but everything else about it is excellent. Great value for money, excellent area and a friendly boat club/bar/pizzeria just down the road. Why pay double the price. Room was clean, good facilities and a small pool and spa at the rear.

Cascades is pet friendly ( dogs allowed inside). It is right on the waterfront of lake taupo, the staff are super super helpful and friendly. The units are huge ( not brand new) but very clean and very functional and very pleasant. Highly recommend this place. Go there it's worth it.
