We chose this property due to location near a major station, Shinjuku station, which makes it easy to explore Tokyo. It’s a few blocks walk from the station though, which may be inconvenient for some people. The positive of that walk is that it’s on a Main Street that’s fairly quiet and faces on to a park. The bakery downstairs serves very reasonable priced food with lots of good options for breakfast. The other restaurants seemed very popular but we did not try them. The rooms are functional but small as expected. Check in and out process is automated on machines but did not work for us so it had to be done manually, a bit frustrating. Shinjuku itself has lots of good food and shopping but there are some seedy parts best avoided by families.

Horrible experience. There will be extra charges the minute you check in. Crowded and noisy, this hotel tends to backpackers looking for fun. Probably the worst customer service in Japan, employees are rude and pretentious and completely unavailable. Even if you contact them over the phone or through Expedia they will just ignore you. There are better hotels in the are so I recommend avoiding at all cost.

Good Stay at The Knot Hotel The Knot Hotel itself is pretty good—clean, comfortable, and with a stylish atmosphere. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the Shinjuku shopping center, so if you want to be right in the middle of the action, you’ll need to walk a bit. However, if you don’t mind walking, this is a great hotel to stay at. Overall, a solid choice for anyone who values comfort and doesn't mind being a little farther from the main shopping areas.

The room was dirty, there were visible stains on the furniture. The quality of the beds were quite poor, very busy hotel and lobby. Not the most quiet rooms, thin walls, could easily hear neighbours talking and snoring.

Great hotel in an excellent location and close to many locations. Couple of metro stations under 10 min walk. We travelled to and from this hotel via subways with no issues. Breakfast is exceptionally good and of great quality too. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I had a fantastic stay at Knot Tōkyō. The hotel has a trendy atmosphere, and the restaurant and bar were excellent—especially the Wagyu beef. It’s also in a great location, close to Yoyogi Park. The room was a bit small, but that’s common in Tokyo. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the city.

Considering the price paid, it offers good value for money. We completely understand that the size of the room is limited and there is not much space for storage, I would like to suggest that the hotel provide one or two foldable storage stands inside the room

This hotel was a great decision. We were a party of 4 with 2 rooms and everyone had a great stay. I would highly recommend this location.

Good hotel overall, amazing bakery (please have the sausage croissant danish thing with matcha) However it was quite a lot of walk for us from Shinjuku station, especially challenging in hot humid summer weather with heavy luggage. I would visit again but perhaps not during summer.

Very good place to stay, staff were excellent and the location very serviced by bus for getting around the local area..my only issue ( and it's a small one) was the room size, our room would have been good for a single bed but not a twin or for a double...with 2 average size luggage bags we had to jump beds to move around. It was probably my fault for booking a twin room without checking the dimensions..and I should probably lower my expectations...it is Tokyo after all....so I'm just putting it out there as I was surprised.

Check-in and check-out was very easy using the machines and staff were on hand to help. The room was typically small for Tokyo although the configuration could have been better. Areas of improvement could be: better tea/coffee making facilities (just mugs, no glasses), better fridge (not cold at all), and just small things like providing a receptacle (even plastic cups would do) to take ice from downstairs to the room. Breakfast was good and worth the price.

The Knott Hotel Tokyo
Facilities were really excellent there was a very young hip vibe that would not be for everyone. The breakfast was exceptional. There was a coin laundry, bar, bakery and restaurant. Short walk to the station and plenty of eateries close by.
