The hotel is huge and if you like crowds and conventions this place is for you but rooms are small. On check in my wife and daughter were ushered to self serve checkin. I waited in the crowded foyer with our bags for some 25mins. It took a very long time and a language barrier plus the staff member was pushy and unhelpful. I did notice plenty of people lined up well after my wife leave quickly after being checked in at the front counter. Why! The bathroom was like an old cruise ship. A step up into it and then a small high sided bath with a shower curtain on a rail. Old outdated and we are sure there was mold in there. Views of Mt Fuji from 35th floor were something to smile about. The hotel has several shops which are mostly too expensive. There is a foodcourt but in comparison to other venues it's expensive to eat there. There's a 7/11 on site and it's good and extremely busy. Our booking for 2 Adults and our 16yr old daughter was incorrectly booked by the site and I had to argue to get the couch made into a bed with bedding. Somehow when i booked it the system somehow changed my daughters age to 0. The discussion I had with the person became immediately heated. There was an expectation we would need to pay 5,000 Yen extra per night and when I asked to speak to the Manager she said " I am the Manager!" Discussions occurred between parties and they conceded we wouldn't be charged extra. Laundry also inconvenient The bag drop well managed and staff were good at that area.

I have stayed here several times over the years. It is an excellent hotel and the proximity to Shinagawa station makes it a great place to stay whatever brings you to Tokyo. I entered lower marks for service because checkin took far too long. There was enough staff: the problem was each checkin transaction was taking a very long time. I hope this was an isolated incident.

Great location, intermediate room
The check in procedure was a mess. There were long ques and automatic check in was not functioning well. Room was clean-ish since I saw a few body hair in the bath-tub. There wasn't enough guiding at the room and the air conditioner was not a good one. The location of the hotel is perfect though. I may consider to stay again considering the location and not expect too much of the room..
