Customer service was very poor had few issues with missunderstanding infomation provided over the phone. Spoke to one person asking to find out what was going on which she hung up on me 4x for rest of the day no one would answer the phones as i was trying to get through to a manager. The girls who were on duty did not smile once or engage into the conversations. The only person who was outstanding when on duty was Jake. consistently provided exceptional service by attentively listening to my concerns, responding with patience and resolving issues efficiently.

Stayed here for two nights, would NOT stay again. Room smelt like cigarettes, hallways smelt musky as if it was wet. Mould on the bathroom ceiling. Room card stopped working after the first night, reception is unattended between 12 and 1pm, couldn’t get into our room, rang the phone number on the entrance door for when reception is unattended, called twice no one answered. Our friend stayed in the room beside us, he had showered and realised there were no towels in the room. We went down to reception to let them know and requested a towel, the girl working didn’t say one word, no apology, just handed the towel over. Never again.

I had booked to stay at this hotel (where I have stayed many times before) on 4 February. From 2 February we were directly hit by the severe weather issues in Ingham and didn't have power, phone, internet or any connection to the outside world. When I finally was connected I see I was charged the full price of the hotel so I contacted Wotif who were very good and tried on numerous occasions to get the hotel to refund me the amount in the circumstances, but they have refused. I have sent an email to the hotel's head office about this and they have not responded. Shame on you Madison Plaza for sticking to your T&C's at a time when we were experiencing a 1 in 100 year event.
