Hotel Selfoss – A Luxurious Stay in Iceland During our second visit to Iceland, we stayed at Hotel Selfoss for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. This hotel is much larger than others we’ve visited, offering a spacious and elegant environment. Our room was big and comfortable, featuring a cozy bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. One feature we loved was their aurora watch list where you can leave your room number, and they’ll call you if the northern lights are visible, which adds an extra touch of convenience. The hotel has a large dining room where they serve an excellent breakfast buffet. We appreciated the wide range of options, and the staff worked quickly to refill items and clear tables, ensuring there was always space for guests. Selfoss town itself is beautiful and offers everything you need, from shops to scenic views, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book here again if we return to Iceland. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury.

Great location, quiet and dark. Great for viewing the Northern Lights from the numerous and spacious hot tubs. Excellent breakfast. Staff were very helpful and nice.

No restaurant in the hotel. Walking to a local restaurant in poor weather was not fun. The breakfast buffet was okay, but not as good as some others.
