There are concierge Labradors! All things are better with dogs. The hotel is typical of the fairmont, classy, clean, not modern. Located in the heart of upscale shopping, and walkable to many things.

For the premium price we pay I would expect more facilities. like no hot tub. Fitness center was closed. The room (junior suite) was big size which is nice. But restroom was too small with broken cold water faucet. The hand shower didn’t have enough pressure. When called for service they said “it’s known issue and takes more Time to fix” something. 2 out of 3 phones in the room didn’t work. (One of them has missing numbers:)) Restaurant food (Notch 8) was very average.

This is the original Hotel Vancouver. My mother had a story about having dinner here during WW II when a Japaese submarine shelled a lighthouse on Vancouver Island. I've wanted to stay here for 50 years.

The place is absolutely incredible. Was within walking distance of where all the festivities for Grey Cup weekend. We also mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and they left a great surprise in the room in that day. Would stay here over and over again anytime I'm in Vancouver.
