The property was very run down. The room we stayed in had poor lighting and doors didn’t close right. When we checked out they had charged us a few fees that was never explained to us. Overall very expensive for a run down property.

more cleanliness on entry ways, shower and ground has buildup. Indians are served at the end after Caucasians are served even today. This happens a lot with native fijian servers as they will just ignore Indians and we persoanlly experienced it.

One of the best in Fiji!
The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff are not just friendly, but they are also very professional and efficient. The room was spacious and clean, and very quiet at night. The hotel grounds were well maintained. The food was excellent; their buffet dinner was one of the best quality we’ve ever had. We look forward to our next visit!

This resort is like an island with its own beach so you can snorkel and kayak all day. Very friendly people and delicious food and the views are sensational. We love the Shangri-la and have been numerous times over the years. It never disappoints. Vinaka

Our 6th stay here and it continues to give us great memories. Only downside is restrooms ! Could do with more restrooms especially around the lagoon side of the resort . Forever lining up

Had an excellent short (5 day) escape here. As we were a couple, the resort suggested we pay to upgrade to the adults-only Reef Wìng. This was a great idea, good room, beautiful view, quiet. It has its own lobby, lovely staff. Good snorkelling, many other activities, huge grounds. Many restaurants, breakfast quite good, but other food not great. Good options outside the resort, easy to get a taxi. Would go back

The Shangri-La is not as serene as the pictures make out, so I would recommend asking for a quiet room, rather than the first option they gave us which was directly over the bar. Plenty of loud drunk Australians meant we asked to move room. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable and the staff were SUPER friendly and very sweet. Do ensure if you're travelling without children as we were, that you book into the Reef Wing which is adult only, trust me you'll regret it otherwise. Likewise if you have children, then the rest of the resort is made for you. Lovely health club, beautiful spa and spectacular grounds. Enjoyable stay!!

Lovely place, had a nice time overall. Reception staff were fantastic. Some of the staff at the restaurants/bars were incredibly slow, uninterested however - which was a shame.
