2 stars, okay location if you need a place to stay
I had booked stay with included car parking. During my trip, the host contacted me to not use the parking stall which is a primary reason I booked here. He said to search for on street parking which he would pay for. Well this area is next to the University and several eating places, which makes competition for parking very hard. I had to circle several times to find a parking stall which was very stressful. Host said it was a mistake because rules changed after I booked in December. Well this is not my fault, and I do not understand why I had to move my car. With lots of students in the area, the location seems safe, however, there was someone yelling at the top of his lungs from one of the units, I think in the building that apartment is in. Unit does not have A/C, just a single fan with no cross ventilation. The balcony door to the unit was wide open when I checked in and there are two windows adjacent to the door, but for safety reasons we kept it closed at night as folks from next door units could scale over and come in to the unit. It was still summer time, so night time sleeping was very uncomfortable. I guess in winter time, room would be cooler. Unit is close enough to walk to the wharf, so that part was good. Also, as I mentioned, there are several eating places close by including fried chicken take-out, ramen noodle sit down, falafel take-out, Chinese sit down. Only tried the chicken takeout which was very good and open until late at night.
