Very nice modern clean hotel. Right in the heart of the harbour which is why we booked here for one night. Room had view of the harbour and marina. Friendly staff and great amenities. Popular bar restaurant at the entrance. We aprled in the council parking at the back of the hotel which has a stair well to the front of the hotel

I arrived to discover a happy hour and festive atmosphere which was nice for a solo traveler. I stayed put for dinner as it was bucketing rain and had breakfast before setting off for the day and heading to the airport! The room was wonderful and the bed very comfortable. I appreciated the bathroom low light to navigate in the night! M Social will definitely be on my travel planning radar for future trips!

Great staff at the front desk who allowed us to check in hours early when we turned up wet through from the rain. Helpfully explained all benefits of staying at this property and were quick to sort out a flickering light late at night. We will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely no complaints! We arrived early after the long flight from Minnesota, and they let us check in early because the room was already ready. Off to a great start for our two weeks in New Zealand. Location is great for a relaxing walk around the viaducts, good restaurants (particularly enjoyed breakfast at Giraffe), a large park, playground for the kiddo. Might check out the maritime museum before we head out to explore the rest of the country via campervan. Service at M Social was fantastic!
