My Old Kentucky Hideaway- Lakeview Cabin

This fantastic Authentic Log Cabin in a beautiful wooded surrounding has a full size bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a queen size bed in the upstairs “master/ loft” bedroom. The great room or living area has a sleeper sofa to allow for two more guests to sleep. It also has a cozy stone fireplace (gas fire logs) operational seasonally. FREE WiFi-NO Password/Cable TV. There are two bathrooms. One downstairs, and a private bathroom upstairs in the master/loft bedroom. The long back deck has a gazebo to sit and view the water while cooking up a burger on the charcoal grill. Walk from the driveway down the stone sidewalk to the inviting front porch to sit in our rocking chair or swing and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Must be 21 years or older to reserve. No Pets. One Night Stay on Week Nights will be considered.

Nice getaway
The cabin was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and dishware. A/C worked well. Nice sitting area in gazebo off back deck. Nice view of water - just wished there had been a trail down to the water to fish off the bank.

Beautiful location, rustic cabin, great view
The layout is nice, the view is wonderful. The noise level from highway is loud at times. The windows do not all have screens and some of them have openings that let in bugs. The kitchen is not well equipped with items, such as sharp knives, coffee, baking pans, or serving dishes. The pillows are terrible and the blankets are cheap.

We were so pleased with the cabin-just everything about it! The Harston group made everything so easy! This was my second stay and it was wonderful. So close to our event at Barren River State Park, and as we have it there every year, I will definitely stay next year. Thank you so much for giving us a stay that was worry and work free.

Cozy Cabin
We had a lovely stay in this cabin. Full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and plenty of privacy. This cabin feels like you are in the middle of a forest and overlooks a lake. We could hear wildlife in the evening as we sat out on the deck playing boardgames. We highly recommend this location for families, but it would be nice for anyone seeking a peaceful stay not too far from local attractions.

Nice little cabin. Clean other than the windows and cobwebs. The windows were so dirty you had to go outside to see the view of the lake, which you had to look through all of the over growth to see. Also one of the reasons we picked this cabin was the fireplace. We were there the first week of October with temps in the 40's at night but the fireplace was closed for the season. Not sure what they call in season but was disappointed. With a little window cleaning and pruning this is a nice place to stay. One more thing, the water heater needs attention. Only 2 of us stayed here and we had to wait about an hour between showers because it would start getting cool at the end of your shower. I hope they get these little things fixed because this in a neat place to stay.

We loved the cabin and location, we didn’t see any mice but droppings I a few different places…in the kitchen linens draw most concerning. We were disappointed the gas logs were not in season since it was a very cool weekend and would have added to the rustic cabin feel

Simple, clean, quiet cabin for a nice stay for two people. Cozy and in reach of several popular caves. Would likely be a great cabin for leaf color chasers since so many beautiful hardwoods surround it.
