'A Shore Thing' is a 5 bedroom, 5 1/2 bathroom, handicapped accessible, four story vacation rental dream house. Elevator access (40"wide x 45" deep cab) to every floor and handicapped accessible (ADA) master suite in main level (sliding board transfer from WC to shower ** NOT A WHEEL IN SHOWER ** / toilet and open sink to wheel under). Four (4) master suites, each with private bathrooms and all with an ocean view and private / personal 'romeo & Juliet balcony'. A children's room will feature 3 sets of bunk beds (5 twins and 1 queen) for a total of 6 beds. Every bedroom with flat-screen TVs and new mattresses (2016) Top floor features a billiard / game room with a tiki hut. Main (1st floor) features a large open kitchen with island, 2 dishwashers, screened porch and open porch with built in 30' Lynx gas grill. There's a Sonos sound system with speakers in the living room, kitchen, screen porch, billiard room, and garage. Stairs off of open porch lead directly to the beach, where a landing with seating / cooler storage and an outdoor shower will be located. Underneath the house is parking for 6 cars/SUVs, plus driveway parking. Granite countertops throughout. This is a gorgeous new home on folly, designed and built for vacationing. Very close proximity to the end of the island which makes for a very quite and private beach experience and improved view of ocean and the river on the opposite side (visible from billiard room). I keep the calendar very up-to-date. If dates are blocked out then they are unavailable. From memorial day to Labor Day, we have a firm at seven day minimum stay. Check in and check out day are Saturday with no exception.
Please take note, all reviews prior to May 2016 apply to the old property "black magic". This property was completely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up to become "a shore thing". As of July 2016, Google earth has not taken updated pictures since mid construction.. however the street view is largley up to date. so if you take a look at the property it will look different on Google earth then it actually does in real life today.
WEDDING / EVENTS -$1250 non refundable event fee
This house was also designed to host weddings / events The large fenced in backyard has ample space for tables / chairs / dance floor. The garage has been finished (painted / siding / smooth ceilings, finished floor can lights & speakers) for a caterer to setup or for many tables & chairs (as a rain plan). Get married out on the beach and have your reception in the backyard.
A port-a-jon rental is required for events as all of Folly Beach does not have city sewage (we are on a septic tank) and too many people using the bathroom (more than 15-20) can cause it to back up an overflow in the backyard).
