Fully renovated cute 3 bedroom home in perfect location in Cody. Easy walking distance to main street where you have top rated restaurants and attractions.

The house is located next door to the 'Mama Bear Cottage' property and can be rented together to sleep a group of 9. Rent along with the 'Baby Bear Cottage' on the other side and sleep 4 more for a total of 13!

Only 50 miles from YNP! All season activities including rafting, skiing, fishing, hiking and so much more.

The Front Porch to Cody
It was the perfect location for "everything" Cody and Yellowstone. We loved the front porch. Communication with Amy was great and she provided great information/suggestions in advance of our arrival. We had an awesome time!

Papa Bear Dreams
My husband, me and Uncle stayed at Papa Bear May 24-30, 2024 and it was amazing. I had a couple of questions during booking and called Amy; she was right there to help me through them. I addition, she noted if we got into Cody before check in time to call. If the VRBO was available, we'd be able to settle in. That's exactly what happened; it was nice to check in early after an 8 hour drive from Colorado. The corner property location is perfect, we could park our fishing boat with no issues. The house is very nice too! I'm glad we didn't stay in a hotel. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a nice sized kitchen and living room. It was perfect for our group, with another room to spare. The house smelled and looked wonderful too (we girls notice these things, pretty much right away). Equally important was there was a washer and dryer, with a package to run a couple of loads- which was REALLY nice. The kitchen had everything you'd need to cook and sit down to have a family meal too- plus a dishwasher. I really loved that the master bath/bedroom door could shut off the rest of the house- we had a snorer. The back yard was pretty and spacious too. We didn't get a chance to BBQ, but will nex time we stay for sure. None of us have stayed in a VRBO in Cody but I would highly recommend Papa Bear, especially over a hotel. Our stay was perfect, in every way possible. Thank you Amy!!!

Charming, Convenient, Clean!
This charming home was perfect for our recent visit to Cody. The living room was perfect for visiting with family and playing cards. It had everything that you could possibly need. We ate out because there are so many great places to eat in Cody. Finally, I have never stayed in a vrbo that was this clean. It was beyond clean. We will definitely stay here again!

This property was just perfect for my husband, parents and I. It was centrally located near the town center and was quite cozy and very clean. Amy and Jared were wonderful hosts and got back to us quickly with questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Cody.

Good for families with kids
Two couples stayed in the Papa Bear for 2 nights. Owner very nice and friendly. Livingroom good size and King room was good size with bathroom. Parking was easy. Queen room that we stayed in was smaller than expected and bathroom was outside of room and smaller than we like with lavatory with no countertop space and door wouldn’t lock. Washer and dryer located in master bath which made it awkward doing laundry in other couples bathroom. Entry into house used a keypad and would take 3-4 tries to get deadbolt to work. To tight. I didn’t feel it was right for couples but my wife and the other couple who had the big bedroom said it was ok. Hope this helps.

This was a great place to stay! The home was very clean and felt like I was at my own home. This is right at the edge of town but didn’t have any problems with noise. We are already planning another trip this spring and we will for sure be staying here. I would recommend staying here to anyone going to Cody Wyoming!!

This house was a jewel. Lovely. Well decorated. Super clean. An excellent hostess who was present to greet us and show us around and answer questions. Even took the time to make us reservations at the Cattleman's Steakhouse. We parked at the house and walked downtown shops and eateries. We ate at Cattleman's Steakhouse-pricey but good. The Cody Cattle Company Was an excellent show. The Buffalo Bill Center was excellent. Try the "can you find it?" Game for each of the 5 different " museums". Need to find 6 out of 8 items in each museum to receive a :prize" for that section. Irma's melodrama shootout on the east side street of Irma's Hotel at 6pm was fun slapstick comedy. Free unless you want to buy a seat. Deer are abundant on side streets. Quite a few people we met stayed in Cody to drive into Yellowstone. Beautiful drive. The Buffalo Bill Dam just outside of Cody-west side- was inyetesting and free. We missed the rodeo! A real treat! We had seen it years before and were disappointed that the rodeo went from nighly to weekend the week we arrived. An excellent visit!
