We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Karen and Steve were excellent hosts. We were travelling by bus and the motel is located a fair walk from town so Karen took time out from her busy day to pick us up from the bus stop and to take us to the grocery store which we greatly appreciated. She also got us in contact with the local taxi service who also were very helpful and friendly.

The setting of the motel is beautiful, surrounded by trees in blossom, and with a view of Mt. Taranaki. The room was very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen. A back door opened onto a deck, with comfortable wooden deck chairs, overlooking a beautiful big lawn surrounded by trees. I would have liked blinds over both the front and the back doors, as these let in a lot of light at night.

We have 3 active boys and it was great to have a large unit where we could all stretch out! We even managed to see the Mountain for 20 mins!!!

We liked the rural aspect and the privacy of each unit looking out into the paddocks where the horses were housed. We did consider the crockery to be a bit on the petite side particularly the coffee mugs and the cereal bowls. Also the venetial blind in the bathroom is a bit on the tatty side. They would be the only negatives in an otherwise very comfortable stay. We would use this motel again but would bring our own bowls and mugs.
