4 stars but a bit disappointing. No huge issues, more like death from 1,000 cuts. Great first impression; large, well appointed, light, airy, wonderful bedding. Windows face pub. Closing them works but we like to feel a breeze and hear the raindrops. Bathroom - toilet clearly not scrubbed, dirt in corner behind door, toilet flush from 60’s, shower/tub highest off ground I’ve seen. Kitchen - ample amenities (lovely teapot and cozy). Washer/dryer was a HUGE factor in renting place, but no instructions. Had to go to YouTube to figure out. 2 hours to dry 2 pairs of jeans! Dining area was elegant, an example, like bedding, that made place comfortable. Living room spacious and relaxing though one of couches lacked support. You sat and sunk! Large desk offered excellent workspace, but would have been practical to have phone charger or accessible electric outlet. Again, nice apartment, but small details detracted from overall. Bigger detail - when walking into bedroom, we often smelled faint cig and weed odor coming from air ducts directly above threshold. Interior soundproofing lacked. Every time people across hall opened door, our door rattled. Sounded like someone coming into our place. NOT good! So many little details could have been improved, so many missed opportunities to make us love 9 Hertford. Overall, a decent apartment, but with few adjustments, could have been great. For money we paid, and great first impression, we expected more. Great service from staffer Lourdes.

This is a must stay!
This property is absolutely amazing! The staff are so kind and professional too from check in to check out. Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in June. We stayed on the 1st floor. So much room for our family to spread out and not be on top of each other. Everything was very clean. You can tell they have put so much thought and care into every detail from the decorating to the added things they put in the kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom. The location is perfect too! So much is close by to walk to including Buckingham Palace. Neighborhood is very cute and clean. Very nice area! We will definitely recommend staying here to friends and we will definitely be back to stay here again. We found our home away from home when in London.

I’d stay again
We stayed in apartment 402 for three nights during our time in London. For us the location was perfect. Just off the main road on a quiet street. This apartment, 402, was a bit dated and could use some new features. The carpet was stained and worn out and the furniture was old but it didn’t affect the stay. We cooked and used the kitchen everything worked just fine. The kitchen had a dishwasher and a washer dryer combo that we used too. The apartment has a huge balcony that is very nice but it connects to the apartment next door and there was no way to close it off. The unit had two huge TVs and we were even able to mirror our iPhone to the tv and watch Netflix on it. The staff was very friendly and helped us to the unit and even helped us when the safe locked us out. The unit is huge com To the hotel room our friends had and having a kitchen saved some money.

Our stay was mediocre at best. The unit was much more run-down than I expected. The cabinets in the kitchen had lots of 'worn out' areas by the cabinet pulls. The couches/chairs were very warn and dirty looking. It has obviously not been update in a very long time. The carpet is worn. The bathroom is worn out too. Overall not very impressed w/the unit for the price. The younger man at the front desk seemed dismissive and unfriendly. The woman and older man we only saw once were friendly. Often the front desk was empty. Upon check-out I could not reach anyone. I sat in lobby for an hour at 10am - nobody came. I called the number repeatedly including 2 numbers that are on a business card located in lobby. Left voicemails and they were never returned. Nobody ever showed up.

A bit disappointed on this occasion, bath plug wouldn’t operate and the bath wouldn’t drain when taking a shower. Wife was disappointed she couldn’t take a bath. From 9am each day there was constant banging which was extremely disturbing and annoying as a kitchen or something was being installed so constant non stop banging on walls. Very noisey due to windows having no sound insulation and cars beeping and lots of noise outside. We will be looking at other locations on our next stay in London and have cancelled our booking here for September

Fantastic pied-a-terre
Fantastic. Huge (for London) one bed apartment for a quarter of the price of the grand hotels a couple of streets over. Location is brilliant, right in the middle of Shepherds market, so every bar and restaurant you can imagine. If we move back to London, this is where we’ll live. I have no idea how they do this for this price in this location.

Good location but not a “wonderful” property. Each apartment is different, so the experience likely varies accordingly. This apartment was tired with poor air conditioning and torn carpet. I would not stay again.
