Great location, great host with great price.
Excellent and safe location. Will definitely come back. Very lively neighborhood, with great restaurant choices for all kinds and all budgets. The rooms are located within the courtyard of a building, with a gate, which makes it very quiet and safe. Couple minutes of walking distance to the Metro and Tram stations. Short walk to Duomo and the local attractions. Our host Giulia was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations on local attractions and restaurant choices and provided us with a map that shows all local transit options, which was very helpful.

Giullio, the owner is fabulous. From the moment we began communicating with him, he offered exceptional service, detailed directions to find his place & the codes to access his accommodations. He greeted us on the walkway to his entrance with open arms, a huge smile on his face, & a beaming “Welcome”! Honestly the best welcome I have ever received from anyone (other than my aunt). His rooms are clean, with modern floors & wide hallways to easily roll suitcases, and the entire place is sprinkled with beautiful antiques from a previous business of his. The rooms have everything that is needed for any stay: comfy bed, desk, side table, fridge, amenities for the bathroom. The entire place is warm, safe and clean and inviting. Giullio offered recommendations for a morning coffee & croissant at a French bakery around the corner, appetizers and cocktails by the Grand Canal, he walked us to the restaurant to make our dinner reservations with us & to ensure we knew where we were going. He pointed out where to shop for reasonably priced clothing. He was nothing short of an incredible host!! We wish we could have stayed with GIULLIO for longer !! Highly recommend. Will only stay here if we return to Milan.

Nice property overall. I sleep well. Shower door fall apart, on my first day. Owner fix it right away. It's a bit challenging to use the tea pot. Since, In Italy, electrical plugs and outlets aren't standardized.

This was a great and charming place to stay as a solo traveller! The host was lovely and offered many great suggestions to add to my itinerary. The neighborhood is lively and chic, with tons of amazing restaurant and bar options nearby, and I felt very safe day and night. The Porta Venezia train station is a few minutes walk to easily get anywhere you want in the city, although walking as much as possible is recommended to get the best feel for the vibe of the city. I highly recommend this B&B!

We had such a wonderful stay at La Locanda. Not only were the rooms and beds incredibly comfortable, but we also were given wonderful recommendations from our host for breakfast, travel, and general activities. Very centrally located, easily accessible public transit, and a great value for the price. Would happily stay here again!

Great, off-the-beaten path spot to explore a bit of Milan. I was only there for one night before catching my flight back to the US. Got lots of great suggestions and tips that were super helpful. Really a charming, comfortable spot!

Really awesome little cozy B&B in the center of Milan. Family run. The owner lived in the US and knows expectations of a traveler from the US market very well, speaks perfect English, very helpful, and responsive. Will stay again if I ever come to Milan.

Superb independent boutique hotel / apartments, with a great welcome and host . Excellent area for dining and evening socialising with dozens of options, yet walkable to the centre via all the Milan Fashion attractions.

The check in was my worst experience of staying in hotels in 3 decades of business and personal travel in 4 continents. Way too complex and poorly explained before arrival. There should be a warning before booking this place that check in is problematic. Breakfast was a joke; old croissant and dry toast in plastic bags. Pillows were old and very compressed. A place to avoid in the future.

Giulio was a welcoming host who checked in with us to make sure we didn’t have any issues finding the B&B or had delays with travel. He welcomed us like old friends and gave us recommendations on the area, including the best places to eat along with where to park. Tip: If renting a vehicle, get the smallest car you can that will accommodate all your luggage, don’t get sold on the “upgrade. Parking will be easier. The room was quaint, clean and quiet and the area felt safe to walk at night. Having a grocery store close allowed us to get fresh fruit and water at reasonable prices. Our check-out was easy and sad as we had to leave our host. Highly Recommended!

Charming place, not a standard hotel. friendly check in. One needs to communicate in advance with host to arrange for keys. Safe and central. AC very noisy and not worth to turn on. Overall I had a very good experience.

The host Giulo was the BEST. He made the check in process very easy and was so friendly his English was great which helped out so he can communicate with you on where to go in the city. The location is also THE best my girlfriend and I loved restaurant/bar right across the street and you also have easy accesses to supermarket. If you are looking for a vibrant area this is the place for you.

Great location and nice owner. There are many good dining options near the hotel as well as shopping. The nice thing is that it is away from the tourist area yet a 25 min walk to Duomo. If you are a light sleeper this property might not be the best as you can hear a lot of street noise and garbage and recycling in the morning. Good price.

Giulio was extremely nice and helpful! The neighborhood is beautiful with lots of really nice trendy cafes and restaurants right next to the hotel. The rooms have very lovely original decor. Very pleasant experience!
