Very disappointed with this hotel. Although it is conveniently located to the parliament, this hotel is a disaster. DO NOT book the classic room. It’s so bad that I didn’t feel comfortable taking my shoes off inside. The dishwasher had utensils from the previous guests inside. There were no towels in the room for any guests. Laundry machine had a random towel sitting on top from previous guest. When I discussed this at the front desk, I was asked to pay another 40$ for an upgrade. If you stay here, book a modern room. Do not book the classic room.

Check in at 5pm and check out at 10am. Parking is extra and they charge a premium for it. Area surrounding was very unsafe apecially at night. Room was dirty and dusty. They new we were a party of 4 and only provided 1 bed set and 2 towels. Several lights were not working. Before checkput tome there were already cleaning entering the room as we were getting ready to leave, hopefully for good.

The room itself was very nice. However there were dust bunnies in it so it didn’t appear to have been cleaned very well. Also the hotel parking lot was full so we had to park offsite which was difficult given that we had small children with us. The most frustrating thing was that I requested a crib when I made the reservation and messaged the hotel the morning of our arrival to confirm that a crib was available only to be told on our arrival that a crib had not been reserved for us and that they had run out.

Excellent location. Walking distance to numerous downtown Ottawa attractions. Staff were all welcoming and friendly and able to answer all my questions. I loved that the front desk left a voicemail and sent me a text asking if my room was ok. I rated the area around the property as 4 because of the homelessness situation. It is not the hotel's fault that the homeless situation has escalated to this extent but patrons should be mindful when walking outdoors especially after dark.

We like the property location, it is convenient with all the stores. Employees are friendly. Do not get the classic room, the carpet is disgusting and the room smells like something is rotten, I think its because of the carpet. Other rooms are ok they are updated and look clean.

The room was a “classic” suite. The furnishings were rather “distressed”. The floor plan was really good! Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen wasn’t stocked with dish towels. Bath towels were not adequately replaced. If I throw one in the tub, I want a replacement. The windows were single pane and street noise was pretty loud. I didn’t like that they tried to put the charge through before I arrived and I had a new credit card and had to spend time contacting the hotel. Friendly service at checkout though! Overall, great location and a decent stay!

The property is exceptional. Everything was great. My only feedback is letting people know beforehand that there are limited styles of suites on each floor. I booked two modern family suites and was told at time of booking that the hotel would do their very best to accommodate the request of having both rooms on the same floor. So when we checked in and were told there are limited numbers of the suite we requested on each floor, I found this to be misleading as I made our reservation to this hotel based on this information that it was possible. Then we were told they would compensate one night of parking for us. I asked if they would consider compensating both our parking nights and the response I got was “you can either take one night parking paid or you can pay for both.” Honestly this is an unacceptable answer in the hospitality industry. She could have just said I’m sorry but this is all I can do. Other than this incident the hotel is spectacular. But comments like this can drive business away.
