It’s gone downhill. Room has been hastily renovated. So poorly renovated the shower leaked and there’s mold on the wall outside of it. It’s so unclean the shower door is opaque from soap scum and hard water stains. It’s clearly never been cleaned property. Absolutely filthy room, yet there’s a tip envelope for the housekeeping staff who won’t even clean your room unless requested. Makes no sense. Just please avoid this place.

The room was cleaned. I appreciate that the bedding was not washed in strong perfumy detergent. I love that there wasn’t an old nasty carpet. There is construction going on . I wish the receptionist gave us more clear instructions about how to get to our room.

Wow has this property gone downhill. From the rude front desk employee, to the sign saying the restaurant is open Saturday’s when it was clearly closed. The rooms are tired and dated. Very dirty. Housekeeping is on request only, but they left a tip envelope in your room. Not sure why I’d tip for a complete lack of service. The parking lot at night has several people who lived in their car and took over the corner of the parking lot. Felt very unsafe, especially considering the door to the Manor building g is broken so it’s unlocked all the time. We booked three rooms for three nights, but left a day early because it was such an awful experience. The breakfast buffet was comical. Two individuals came in with a bag full of takeout containers and emptied almost all the food. They clearly weren’t even staying there since they didn’t have to precious breakfast tickets. Just bullied their way through and cleaned out the food, juice, and condiments. Was actually crazy to watch. Was a great hotel years ago, but honestly avoid this place now at all costs. The rooms are filthy, the grounds are unsafe, and the staff are miserable.

Ballroom of Sacramento Trip
This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised that my friends and I were able to get a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms. There was five of us, so it made it more convenient for us to stay. P when we requested for more towels and comforters we were given them right away. We were even given a space heater, because the suite was a little cold. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Lion's Gate. We are definitely planning to stay this hotel again and I would highly recommend it

The hotel has several wings. This review may not apply to the entire hotel but it does need some upkeep and updates. It is functional and comfortable and close to work. Updates and remodels will take money and cause downtime so it may happen in sections. One section of balcony was being worked on and had barricades to keep people away from the area.

Lions Gate- Not for me again -good price but nope.
I asked for a room on upper floor on quiet side. I get the opposite and shame on me for not immediately going back to change. Traffic noise from East side is awful. Heater adjustment and setting sucked. Hot and cold and no extra blanket. Faucet leaked, Microwave access requires a person of average height with no high reach problems. Come on now. Good for a private on base but not me again I spend a lot of nights on the road and this was bad.

This was a huge property with very nice staff. The rooms are a bit small but still nice. Bed and pillows comfortable. This place could be so much better if renovated, so much potential to be gorgeous. It would be perfect as dorm rooms!

We stayed for a softball tournament. The stay was ok. Older of course. Needed quite a few items fixed in our room. It was clean. Our #1 issue was parking lot. Lots of people sleeping in their vehicles. We got up to our truck broken into and our camp chairs, canopy, food all stolen. We, will not be staying in the future.

The room was dirty and the building was not well maintained. There was an old dirty men’s under shirt in the closet which tells me they didn’t do a full sweep of the room before handing it to us. The towels had stains on them! And the tub drain was rusted to the point that it turned the running water orange! I wore flip flops in the shower…

Love this place but last time i stayed , oct 26-28 i didnt like my room which was the manor building room 4247, all usb port was not working, the bathroom doesnt have door, theres a hole on the shower ceiling and we felt comfortable
