When we first arrived me and my partner were making love and the staff walked in without knocking or announcing themselves. Front desk was very nice and kind. Bar didn’t open until after 5 so we had to go elsewhere for a drink. The room was very beautiful and esthetically pleasing. There was construction going on outside of the hotel which didn’t make it look good. Our view was absolute ass.

We arrived a little early and were able to check in on the fourth floor and there is insane protesting going on at the Marriott across the street. We were guaranteed a room change the next day to a higher level away from the noise. They put us on the same side actually Alma put us on the same side on a higher level. We didn’t sleep for The time that we were there, three days. A really crappy decision by Alma. Especially since I was there for my birthday and she guaranteed us a room away from the noise. I had a friend staying there at the same time to celebrate it with us and she had a room away from the noise so it was possible. Do not stay here if you want a guaranteed good nights rest. Because even complaining and moving your rooms will do nothing.

Hotel was nice and “grand” in the entrance area. There is a strike going on across the street. It woke us up every morning and It was hard to go to sleep. I would recommend not staying here until the strike is over. You are surrounded my bars and restaurants that are walkable distance which i loved. Don’t rent a vehicle if you’re staying at this location. Parking was 72/day at the hotel and $50/day in the parking garage. Great tourist area. Fisherman’s wharf about 10-12 min away.

The Beacon Grand is located in a great area with much to explore in the surrounding areas. Many of our activities were of walking distance, making it so convenient.

Property was ok. The lounge at the top of the hotel was the best thing about it. The protestors outside the hotel made it impossible to sleep in. Room was really small.

Beautiful incorrectly outdated property. I stayed there due to proximity of dental surgery office across the street. 600$ 2 nights. First room we were offered was on 14th floor facing Sutter street. The room was difficult to be in because the windows wouldn’t close tightly leaving half inch gap that was welcoming outdoor noise, pollution and cold. I told I would have to find other hotel when front desk offered me room on 15th floor facing Powell street. That room was way quieter but it has same defective window. I had to stay in this hotel as it was late to change anything. It feels like this property had very poorly windows upgrade done. I think it should be illegal to operate on the market with such defects in developed country.
