The staff were super friendly and helpful and the room was in really good condition and nice and clean. It’s in a great location near some nice neighbourhoods to check out. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only thing that might annoy some guests is that is is quite noisy as it’s next to a busy road and above a pub but they provide ear plugs and whilst some people might not have enjoyed hearing the karaoke night going on at the pub downstairs, I personally found it really entertaining! Would definitely recommend.

Not accessible for people with mobility limitations with only stairs to access the rooms, needs maintenance and repairs to light fittings and cupboards and there was a cockroach in the room. Very noisy and no close parking.

Liked: - staff are very good ,- beddings are neat & the linens - enjoyed going up to the second floor & down the stairs which helped exercise our knees as no lift provided - walking distance to the Darling harbour & fish market Didn’t like: - didn’t get a decent sleep due to the noise of the passing vehicles on a Saturday night & can hear people shouting & talking until 2am - We have to unplug the TV to plug the water jug - the room is old. has only fan - no aircon, - the room door is stiff & has to be pushed & pull with strength - unable to use the little round table inside the room because it’s wobbly. Please check for safety purposes - toilet & shower are communal & shared with others who’s staying from the same floor- no shower & toilet inside the room - the small stainless bin in the toilet/shower is rusty & should be thrown away - no handwashing liquid provided in the handwashing container

Not ideal. Very noisy no insulation. TV could not hold a station. Shower items left by previous guests not removed(used soap etc) no staff outside pub hours, so limited help. I guess the earplugs I found in the kitchenette should have been the warning sign.

Windows are paper thin and extremely noisy intersection outside. Double glazed windows would eliminate a lot of road noise. Other than that the stay was fine and a good location for pubs and access to casino.

The staff at The Dunkirk were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them - they even carried our bags up the stairs for us. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay - would definitely stay here again.

I had a problem in that my room was directly over the extraction fan for the kitchen. It was so noisy that you could not hear the TV in the room. The staff knew of the problem and said it would go off at 8.30pm when the Kitchen closed. At 9.30pm the noise was so bad I checked out to another hotel. On departure the staff asked what the issue was. They told me the staff had gone home and forgot to turn the fan off. One of the worst hotel experiences ever and in Australia.
