I love Salt Mantra. The decor is always freshly painted and carpets regularly replaced. Immaculate gardens and the best region in Australia - NSW Northern Rivers. So many happy stays with some many fun friends over what must be 20 years. But Accor have let the team down. The staff are great. Cocktails first rate and Reception efficient. However my last two visits ((i) The safe never worked and despite constant requests for 2 days to front desk, no maintenance person attended. (Ii) How "dumb" is a suite telephone that doesnt have "Reception - Dial 5" on it. And I had to ring on my mobile to get two "Hold, please" responses and no reply. This is not the Sofitel I know, or even the Novotel at Bangkok Airport, or, even the Ibis at HCM Airport. And no beach towels at the pool and no pool attendant anymore. Pls tell head office to supply more maintenance staff, start stocking mini-bar again, providing room service, put up with the odd guest that locks their passport in the safe and has an hour to catch a flight at Coolie A/P. And fix your room hand set up with a Reception # pls, but provide an extra staff member, to give Sacha and her lovely front of office team, a break. But I will be back - because the rooms are spacious, the air unbelievably fresh. The fishing great and the sharks numerous.

We were told our room is not ready at check-in and they will give us a call when it's ready to come back. we never receive any calls from the reception/staff. Once we in our room, we found the bath towels are a bit damp and there's hair still attached to it (Disgusting). The toilet seat was loose as well. Not a nice experience.

Absolutely loved the property and the convenience to local dining and lunch options. Didnā€™t have a bad meal the whole time we stayed at the Mantra on Salt. The main pool was amazing not overcrowded even though a lot of people were staying there and a lot of people were in the pool. I really enjoyable stay.

Ok ,it is my fault for not being more specific , but if you need basic things in your room regardless of the length of stay (2 -3 nights) make sure you ask if your advertised room has bowls, cutlery of any type, or water container to hold water , or microwave. Room service albeit a luxury is only once a week if you are staying for the week. You will need to ask for towels or face washers every day if you need them. There are no laundry facilities on site . The closest laundromat is Coolangatta? .. or the staff arenā€™t completely aware of the ability to wash clothes / dry clothes etc in Kingscliff. Otherwise go for the bigger room if you require facilities . We were caught out. Other than that the place is perfectly positioned Near beautiful beaches. Kingscliff is divine. Especially outside of weekends. Iā€™m not so sure weā€™d go for a hotel in mantra again in a hurry. But if you need an invite overnighter itā€™s a great spot to crash.

The resort is made up of several interconnected building spread across the property. Our one bedroom spa suite was clean and well set out. Basic facilities in the kitchen. Loved the Urban Skincare Co toiletries in the ensuite. Bed was comfortable. Foxtel in the lounge but only standard Free to Air tv in the bedroom. Only negative was that the bar shuts daily at 4pm. Pre dinner drinks by the pool would have been perfect but not to be unless you byo.
