I love Salt Mantra. The decor is always freshly painted and carpets regularly replaced. Immaculate gardens and the best region in Australia - NSW Northern Rivers. So many happy stays with some many fun friends over what must be 20 years. But Accor have let the team down. The staff are great. Cocktails first rate and Reception efficient. However my last two visits ((i) The safe never worked and despite constant requests for 2 days to front desk, no maintenance person attended. (Ii) How "dumb" is a suite telephone that doesnt have "Reception - Dial 5" on it. And I had to ring on my mobile to get two "Hold, please" responses and no reply. This is not the Sofitel I know, or even the Novotel at Bangkok Airport, or, even the Ibis at HCM Airport. And no beach towels at the pool and no pool attendant anymore. Pls tell head office to supply more maintenance staff, start stocking mini-bar again, providing room service, put up with the odd guest that locks their passport in the safe and has an hour to catch a flight at Coolie A/P. And fix your room hand set up with a Reception # pls, but provide an extra staff member, to give Sacha and her lovely front of office team, a break. But I will be back - because the rooms are spacious, the air unbelievably fresh. The fishing great and the sharks numerous.
