Quiet Little Hotel on Increasingly Busy Jl. Bisma
This hotel was a nice find on Expedia for its prices and fine facilities and location. The pool is cute, the breakfasts are very good, and the staff is friendly. The TV could use a few more than 10 channels though and the bathroom needs an overhaul.

Well located, 10 minute walk to Ubud Main Road.
I have never given a bad review, but despite the reasonable price and proximity to Ubud Main Road, the cleanliness and service left something to be desired. I had to ask for my bathroom to be cleaned and toilet paper to be provided when I arrived, the bedsheets were washed, but stained. There was no safe for valuables available in the room. I also knew I had to check out early (5am) to get my transport connection and was assured repeatedly that staff would be available at reception at this time. When I woke up I found my pre-arranged taxi had cancelled over night and no one was to be found at reception, so had to leave keys at the reception and took myself off on foot in search of car transport at a time when no one was around. I was fortunate to find someone who could help after walking with luggage for some time, but this stress could have been avoided if staff were available. The location is good, but not a 3-star resort.

Cheap Resort within Walking Distance from Shops.
This three-star resort was nicely presented down a lane way, just on the outskirts of the CBD of Ubud. I received a free upgrade to the best room they had as all the other rooms had been booked out. This room was very spacious. The bed was a four-poster bed with mosquito netting, which believe me you will need. The bed was comfortable. Air-conditioning worked well and there was a fridge in the room too, which was handy. In regards to the bathroom, very spacious, however could have been cleaner, as in the corners of the shower floor you could clearly see a grime and dirt build-up. Also, the shower curtain was covered in mould, but usable. Furthermore, there was a kitten who had decided to make my room it's sleeping place for the night, every night. It would sleep on top of a beam underneath the high thatched roof and it never ever came down the walls or on the floor, bed, etc. but still a little disconcerting. Management knew about this, but said they would have to get some sort of contractor to be able to access and remove the cat. The resort facilities were good though. The pool looked clean and was used regularly and there were sun lounges too. The restaurant here however was only open for breakfast, but there were good menu options. In regards to the staff, it was all run by young people, but they were very friendly. Sometimes though I would have to ask them twice to fulfil my request, but other than that everything was good. It felt very safe too, with security at night.

Consider this place with knowing what you get
Location is good. Rooms dirty and no maintenance. Wood borers leave a mess in the bath. Water pressure is restricted and difficult to shower. Hand basin had trickle of water. Room spacious and pool good. Lucky it was cheap. Staff were not busy.

Cheap place to stay
Cheap place but I was just expecting something simple and clean. Smelly bedroom from moisture and bathroom canalisation, during wet season. No water pressure to the shower you have to remove the shower head to get good pressure. Old sheets perforate same for the towels. Friendly staff Good localization

Great location
Everything was adequate. Sometimes felt like there was really no one in charge. The staff were very young and seemed inexperienced. Very friendly but not completely on top of details.

Shower was only half functional, toilet broke upon arrival, and most of the staff did not speak English. Bedding and pool were good, but I was overall very disappointed with my stay and was grateful that it was only for 2 nights.

This hotel is down to earth, excellent value for money, clean with really comfortable bed. Lovely pool with all rooms having pool view. Within walking distance from main Ubud centre. Excellent customer service from friendly staff at all times. I stayed as a solo traveller and felt very safe, secure and comfortable.

Disappointing
I stayed here for one night and I will not be going back. The hotel is down a dark unlit lane off the beaten track. We checked into a room but the front door was broken and the key got stuck in it and had to be moved room. I was waiting at reception for a good 29 minutes before anyone came to help me. We were then put in another room which there was no water. Couldn't even wash our hands. I tried to take a shower and couldn't because there was no water and the bath sounded like it was breaking everytime I stepped in it. It was a nightmare.

First glance room clean-Later BIG COACHROACH
The location was quiet and not bad. Staff was great. The room looked nice at first but then after being in the room for about an hour a HUGE coachroach ran across the floor. We asked the staff to come take a look and they did but already the coach roach disappeared. Later in the night we were woke up again buy the MONSTER coachroach and then had to leave the light on to sleep. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THE VILLA ROOM IF YOU HAVE ANY BUG ISSUES. WAS DISAPPOINTED

Seven days in Ubud
First, I commend the people who work at the Bisma Sari for their courtesy, their friendliness, and their willingness to assist a first-time traveler. Secondly, the place itself was a small garden inside, the room I had was neat, uncluttered and cleaned every day. Thirdly, the location is close enough to the main shopping and cultural events to walk, being mindful of cars and motorcycles, but far enough to feel almost rural. There are working rice paddies next door and the ducks will trump an alarm clock at dawn. I had breakfast every day; the choices of fare were simple-I would recommend a choice with the pineapple "pancake"(bears more resemblance to a crepe) with chocolate sauce. My overall experience of Ubud was educational and I will long remember a friendly people. Crossing a street was a daily adventure.

Great hotel and fantastic location
We really enjoyed our stay at Bisma Sari. Location is fantastic, we were able to walk around to shops and restaurants very easily. Staff is so nice and helpful and will go out of their way to help. Room is cute and big, but the bathrooms are not all that great. Could use some updates but it really didn't bother us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really like the location next to quiet rice fields yet close enough to walk to everything. Pool could be cleaner. Our end room on terrace level was a bit musty. Overall okay.

Basic Accomadation Conveniently Located in Ubud
The resort was good, it had a pool, air conditioning and basic amenities. The staff were friendly. It was in a great location, very close walk to the main road in Ubud and local rice fields, markets, boutiques and restaurants and Yoga studios. Unfortunately it was not very clean, the pool was cloudy but swimmable. The bathroom in my room was very dirty, the toilet did not look like it had ever been cleaned and I wore thongs in the shower as the there was mould and grime all over the floor. The pillows smelled and the quilt had no cover on it. The pool did not get alot of sun as it was surrounded by trees which would not be ideal if you're looking to sunbake. There was also music played rather loudly from the reception area from early in the morning to late at night.
