Bowburn accommodation from NZ$115

I arrived after a week hiking and wanted a lovely place to both rest up and do a little work - this was recommended by an Uber driver and they got it just right. It’s in a great location in quayside - beautiful views of the river and millennial bridge, and it’s an easy walk to both restaurants and cool landmarks (cathedrals, castle, Lit & Phil.) Desk staff was very warm and friendly - so kind from the first word, and very helpful. Had a facial in the spa, which was very relaxing. Room service was quick to the room, delicious, and reasonably priced. Junior suite had a nice layout and was perfect for a few days when I also needed to get some work done. All in all, a perfect spot in Newcastle - my first time in the city (loved it!) and if I have the chance to return, I’ll choose Malmaison again!

Excellent service, checked in earlier than stated which was great. Very nice hotel and very nice and clean. Perfectly situated. Only down fall was how hot the room was and the struggle to get windows open but would definitely return.

Great hotel with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Friendly staff and a great breakfast although a bit expensive if having to pay at full price. In a central location most things within walking distance.
