No Sleep and No One Cared
I was excited for a night away for the first time since starting my cancer treatments 6 months ago. Two hour in, my smoke alarm was chirping. Maintenance came and changed the battery and said it was working fine. I left and returned at 10pm to the room and was asleep by 11:45pm. From 2am-until checkout, the same smoke chirped dozens of times randomly. I recorded the chirp times for the front desk so they knew how frequent it was and it would be necessary to change the entire alarm before new guests arrived. They apologized and offered a future stay but could not help comp my existing stay because it was booked through hotels.com. I got ahold of Hotels.com and they called to work out some sort of compensation and the hotels management said no. I came home Sunday so exhausted my body aches. I finished my last cancer treatment yesterday. Lesson learned I am cancelling my hotels.com account and never using them again nor will I ever stay at this hotel again because neither of them did the right thing. I would have been happy with ANY sort of acknowledgment from either entity but just got a big sorry, nothing we can do. Not acceptable.
