Check in was painful due to poor communication about whether room was paid for or not. Room was quite old and smelled of mothballs and near the lift so all we heard all night was the lift well going up and down. The room was very dated and didn't quite match photos, however was huge, bed very comfy. Shower leaked but was powerful, hot and easy to use.

It’s our first time staying at Duxton hotel. The service is courteous and professional. Staff is friendly and easy to talk to. The room is very clean and comfortable. The only area for improvement would be the tv entertainment option. Foxtel is full of commercials and no good shows to watch. Swimming pool is okay but unfortunately not much effort putting in to make it more eye pleasing. Sauna is warm but not hot. Other than that, pretty happy with the stay.

We were there for 10 nights and changed 3 rooms. One of the key reason we chose this hotel at the beginning is the fitted water tap in the rooms. However, the last room we stayed in it doesn't have fitted water tap. Instead, it is shocking to find out the face basin tap water comes out with continuous black plastic chips. We recorded it and asked the front desk if they wanted the video to be sent to them, they said no need "we will get a technician to look at it". No one turned up. For the three night we stayed in that room, every day we had to go all the way down to the Gym to fill up the water bottles for brushing teeth and boiling the kettle.

The duxton was amazing! From the moment you walk in the doors you feel so special. The club room was so spacious and the staff throughout the hotel were so lovely. Would absolutely recommend to anyone to stay and will be back asap!
